Summary
- Main use
- Treatment and prevention of blood volume reduction, effect of blood dilution therapy
- Who receives it
- Adults
- Adult administration
- 1. Administer by slow intravenous infusion; the initial 10-20 mL should be given slowly while closely monitoring the patient (risk of anaphylactic reaction). 2. The daily dosage and infusion rate are determined based on the patient's blood loss, maintenance or recovery of hemodynamic parameters, and blood dilution, and may be repeated over several days according to the patient's condition, with the duration of administration determined by the duration and degree of blood volume reduction, shock, and hemodynamic activity.

This drug is used solely for the treatment and prevention of blood volume reduction when other alternative therapies are not appropriate. It is also used in rapid normovolemic hemodilution (ANH).
How it is given
Adult administration
Precautions
This drug may increase the risk of mortality, kidney damage, and excessive bleeding and should be used only when other treatment options are not appropriate. It should especially not be administered to patients with sepsis, renal impairment, or severe illness. When administered to patients with hypovolemia, careful evaluation of the risk of kidney damage and liver function decline should be conducted, and the use of crystalloids should be prioritized for patients at high risk. This drug should not be administered to patients with sepsis, severe liver disease, fluid overload, renal failure, severe heart failure, severe coagulopathy, those undergoing dialysis, patients with intracranial hemorrhage, severe electrolyte abnormalities, patients allergic to any component of this drug, and generally to severely ill patients. Caution should be exercised when administering this drug to patients with heart failure, a history of liver disease, severe dehydration, coagulopathies, or corn allergies, as dosage adjustments may be needed. During administration of this drug, rare hypersensitivity reactions, such as anaphylaxis, may occur, so patients should be monitored closely, and in case of adverse symptoms, administration should be stopped immediately and emergency treatment provided. Moreover, excessive administration may lead to coagulation function problems, and cardiovascular and metabolic abnormalities, such as atrial fibrillation or metabolic acidosis, may occur. In cases of overdose, circulatory overload, such as pulmonary edema, may occur, so caution is needed, and in such cases, administration should be stopped immediately, and diuretics or vasodilators should be used if necessary. It is very important to regularly check and monitor serum electrolyte levels, kidney function, and fluid balance during administration of this drug. During pregnancy, this drug should only be used when the benefits of treatment outweigh the risks to the fetus, and during breastfeeding, it is advised to carefully decide on administration as it is not known if this drug is secreted in breast milk. The safety and efficacy in pediatric patients have not been adequately established, so it is advisable to avoid use in pediatric patients. This drug should not be mixed with other medications, and the transparency and packaging of the product should be checked before use. During storage, keep out of reach of children, store in a sealed container, and keep in a cool place below 25 degrees; avoid freezing. This drug should only be used for intravenous injection, and any remaining drug after opening should be disposed of immediately.
