It is applicable for treating a wide range of infections such as gastrointestinal and bile duct infections, skin, soft tissue, bones, and joint infections. However, as a fluoroquinolone, there is a risk of severe adverse reactions, and it should only be used for certain conditions such as acute bacterial sinusitis when no alternative treatment is available. Overall, it is effectively used to treat various bacterial infections.
