Elderly patients may also be at risk of elevated blood concentrations. Taking this medication may lead to central nervous system side effects such as drowsiness, headache, dizziness, and fatigue. Possible digestive side effects include nausea, decreased appetite, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. Rarely, cardiac arrhythmias or blood-related adverse reactions, including allergic reactions, have been reported.
