Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with allergic reactions to this drug or its components. Additionally, since it contains lactose, patients with genetic disorders such as lactose intolerance, lactase deficiency, and glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take this medication. During the use of this medication, serious allergic reactions such as shock or anaphylaxis may occur, so if symptoms such as low blood pressure, altered consciousness, difficulty breathing, or rash appear, the medication should be discontinued immediately and medical treatment should be sought. As the number of white blood cells or platelets may decrease, use should be discontinued if there are symptoms such as fever, sore throat, loss of strength, or bleeding tendency. Liver dysfunction may occur, so if symptoms such as jaundice or elevated liver enzyme levels appear, careful monitoring is required, and the medication should be discontinued if necessary. As respiratory symptoms may arise, immediate consultation with a doctor is necessary if there are symptoms such as fever, cough, difficulty breathing, or abnormal findings in the chest. If symptoms of musculoskeletal abnormalities such as myalgia, weakness, or elevated muscle enzymes occur, the medication should be stopped, and appropriate treatment should be received. Hypersensitivity reactions such as skin rash, urticaria, or itching may occur, so the medication should be discontinued if these symptoms appear. There may be neurological side effects such as tremors, seizures, anxiety, headaches, drowsiness, and dizziness, so be cautious if any abnormal symptoms arise. Gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, abdominal pain, diarrhea, or vomiting may occur, and if symptoms are severe, consult a doctor. Rare cardiovascular symptoms may include arrhythmias, palpitations, and flushing. Urinary symptoms such as proteinuria, hematuria, or micturition disorders may require attention. Other symptoms may include muscle stiffness, weight gain, hair loss, and menstrual irregularities. This drug does not relieve already occurring asthma attacks, so patients should be fully informed of this point. If asthma attacks worsen, bronchodilators or steroids should be used in combination. For patients on long-term steroid therapy, it is important to gradually adjust the steroid dosage when switching to this medication, and caution is needed upon discontinuation due to the risk of relapse. Rare side effects such as vasculitis have been reported during the use of this drug, necessitating careful monitoring of eosinophil levels and symptoms of vasculitis. Mental symptoms such as depression, suicidal thoughts, and aggressive behavior may occur after taking this drug, so the patient's condition should be closely monitored. If there is no effect, caution should be exercised to avoid long-term use of this drug. This drug may interact with drugs metabolized in the liver, and it is important to inform healthcare providers if taken concurrently with certain antibiotics or antifungal agents, as blood concentration may increase. Pregnant women or those who may become pregnant should consider using this drug only if the therapeutic benefit is deemed greater than the risks. In children, particularly low-birth-weight infants or neonates, safety has not been established, so it should be used cautiously. Elderly patients may have decreased physiological function, so they should take the medication at a reduced dosage and with caution. This drug should be stored out of reach of children, and transferring it to another container may cause accidents, so it should be kept in its original container.
