Adult dose
As Terbinafine, administer 125 mg twice daily or 250 mg once daily. The duration of treatment varies by condition: 1) Dermatophytosis Tinea pedis (interdigital, plantar/moccasin type): 2 to 6 weeks Tinea corporis: 2 to 4 weeks Tinea cruris: 2 to 4 weeks 2) Onychomycosis Normally administered for 6 weeks to 3 months. If the infection is in the fingernail or a relatively small toe, or if the patient is younger, the treatment duration may be shortened to less than 3 months. The treatment duration for toenail infections is usually sufficient at 3 months; however, some patients may take 6 months or longer. In patients with slow nail growth, the treatment duration may be extended.
Child dose
Administer to children aged 2 years and older. Tinea Capitis: 4 weeks 1) Weight under 20 kg (under 5 years): 62.5 mg once a day. Due to insufficient experience in administration, benefits and risks of treatment should be considered before deciding on treatment.

This medication is used for the treatment of tinea pedis, tinea corporis, tinea cruris, and onychomycosis caused by dermatophytes in adults. It is also effective for treating tinea capitis in children. It helps improve skin fungal infections.

How to take

Adult dose

As Terbinafine, administer 125 mg twice daily or 250 mg once daily. Precautions

This medication is not recommended for patients with chronic liver disease or active liver disease. Liver function tests must be conducted before administration, and regular liver function tests should be performed during treatment. If symptoms of liver dysfunction appear, the medication should be discontinued immediately and medical advice sought. This drug can cause liver dysfunction and, rarely, serious liver failure, so caution is required. This medication should not be administered to individuals with allergic reactions, blood disorders, severe renal failure, infants under 2 years old, nursing mothers, or certain hereditary lactose intolerance patients. It should be used cautiously in patients with impaired kidney function, the elderly, and children weighing less than 20 kg. Serious rashes or allergic reactions may appear, so the skin condition should be closely monitored, and if abnormal signs occur, usage should be discontinued. Muscle pain or joint pain may frequently occur, and rarely serious issues due to muscle damage may arise; therefore, medical consultation should be sought immediately if symptoms occur. This medication may cause various side effects such as gastrointestinal disturbances, headaches, dizziness, and depression, which should be observed carefully. Caution is necessary when driving or operating machinery if dizziness or other symptoms occur. There are numerous drug interactions; thus, if other medications are being taken, it is essential to inform the doctor or pharmacist, as dose adjustments may be necessary when used in conjunction with some medications. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should use this medication cautiously, and nursing mothers should discontinue breastfeeding while using it. In cases of overdose, headaches, nausea, abdominal pain, and dizziness may occur, necessitating immediate medical attention for appropriate treatment. This medication should be kept out of reach of children, stored in a sealed container to prevent exposure to air or moisture, and kept at room temperature away from direct sunlight.

Hives, facial swelling, lymphangitis, angioedema, anaphylactic reactions, hepatobiliary failure, hepatitis, cholestasis, jaundice, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis, acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis, erythema multiforme, toxic skin rashes, exfoliative dermatitis, bullous dermatitis, rhabdomyolysis, hypotension, dyspnea, chest tightness, neutropenia, pancytopenia, agranulocytosis, thrombocytopenia, paralysis, systemic disorders, severe skin reactions.
