Improvement of allergic rhinitis, conjunctivitis (respiratory and ophthalmic symptoms), and dermatitis (skin symptoms)
Used for allergic conditions such as allergic rhinitis, conjunctivitis, dermatitis, and chronic urticaria.
Adults and children aged 12 years and older: administer 10 mg orally once daily. Adjust dosage appropriately based on age and symptoms.
Children aged 6-11 years: administer 5 mg once daily.
This medication contains lactose and may cause hypersensitivity in children or adolescents who are sensitive to lactose. If diarrhea occurs after taking this medication, consult a doctor immediately. Patients with an allergic reaction to this drug or with severe liver disease should not take this medication. Additionally, patients with congenital lactose intolerance or glucose-galactose malabsorption should also refrain from using this medication. Patients with liver function issues or who have previously experienced liver disease should use this medication cautiously, as there may be a risk of liver function deterioration. Patients with heart rhythm issues or those taking specific medications should consult a professional, as this medication may affect the heart's electrical signals. While taking this medication, various side effects may rarely occur, including heart palpitations, drowsiness, nervousness, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. Liver enzyme levels may temporarily rise, and allergic reactions such as skin rash or swelling can occur; if any unusual symptoms develop, contact healthcare professionals immediately. When performing tasks that require alertness, such as driving or operating dangerous machinery, wait until you have confirmed your response to this medication. This medication is not a fast-acting remedy for allergy symptoms and is not suitable for acute allergic reactions. In the treatment of seasonal allergies, it is advisable to start taking the medication before allergy symptoms worsen and to maintain consistent use during the allergy period. Patients undergoing long-term steroid treatment should gradually reduce the steroid dosage while taking this medication according to a doctor's instructions. Caution is advised when taking this medication with other antihistamines, as it may enhance effects, and certain antibiotics may increase the blood concentration of this drug. Pregnant women or those at risk of pregnancy should consult a doctor before taking this medication, as its safety is not fully established. Breastfeeding women are advised to discontinue nursing during the treatment period, as this medication may pass into breast milk. Children under 6 years should avoid using this medication, as its safety has not been established. Do not take this medication before allergy testing, as it may influence test results. No special toxic symptoms have been reported in case of overdose; however, appropriate therapy and monitoring are required based on symptoms. This medication should be stored out of reach of children, and transferring it to another container should be avoided to maintain quality and safety.
