Precautions

This medication should not be mixed with solutions containing calcium or other drugs. In particular, it must never be administered with calcium in neonates, as this can result in precipitation, posing a fatal risk. Patients who are allergic to this medication or have a hypersensitivity reaction to cephalosporin or penicillin antibiotics should not use it. Additionally, premature infants or neonates with jaundice or hypoalbuminemia may be at risk if this medication is used. When using this medication, it should be administered with caution to individuals with a history of drug allergies or those who frequently exhibit allergic symptoms such as bronchial asthma and rashes. Patients with impaired kidney function may require dosage adjustments due to potentially increased drug concentrations. If symptoms like rash, hives, difficulty breathing, dizziness, or vomiting occur while using this medication, it should be stopped immediately and medical attention sought. Long-term or high-dose use may result in adverse reactions in multiple organs including the liver, kidneys, and blood, thus requiring regular examinations. This medication should be used with caution in pregnant or nursing women, considering the potential effects on the fetus or neonate. Caution is advised when driving or operating machinery since side effects like dizziness may occur. Always check for possible drug interactions when administering this medication, especially ensure that it is never administered simultaneously with calcium-containing solutions. For storage, the prepared solution should be used as soon as possible; it is safe for up to 6 hours at room temperature and within 24 hours when refrigerated.
