Precautions

This medication contains the artificial sweetener aspartame and should not be administered to patients with phenylketonuria. Although the aspartame content is regulated below the WHO recommended level, caution is needed because the daily maximum dosage is defined based on a 60 kg adult. Patients with hypersensitivity to any ingredients in this drug or beta-lactam medications, patients with infectious mononucleosis or lymphoblastic leukemia, and patients with a history of liver dysfunction should not use this drug. Additionally, this medication should be avoided in patients with lactose intolerance or specific genetic metabolic disorders. Patients with liver impairment or severe renal impairment should be cautious when using this medication, as there may be a risk of worsening liver function or increased drug concentration. Caution is also needed in patients with allergies, those who have difficulty taking medication orally, the elderly, and patients with gastrointestinal diseases. During treatment, gastrointestinal symptoms such as diarrhea, abdominal pain, and vomiting may occur, and particularly in cases of bloody stools or severe abdominal pain, the medication should be discontinued immediately and medical advice sought. If symptoms of liver dysfunction or serious skin reactions or hypersensitivity occur, administration should be discontinued immediately, and the medical advice should be followed. This medication may pose a risk of developing resistant bacteria with prolonged use, so it is important to administer it only for the necessary duration. Severe allergic reactions such as anaphylaxis may rarely occur, so patients should be closely monitored after administration. If diarrhea occurs during or after antibiotic use, consider the possibility of pseudomembranous colitis and notify the healthcare provider immediately for appropriate treatment. This medication may interact with other drugs, so if you are currently taking any medications, be sure to inform your healthcare provider. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should carefully consider the benefits and risks of using this medication, especially avoiding use during the first three months of pregnancy. Safety for premature infants and newborns under 2 months has not been established, so caution is needed in these cases. Elderly patients may be at a higher risk for adverse reactions due to decreased bodily functions, so dosage and intervals should be adjusted accordingly and administered with caution. This medication should be stored in a tightly sealed container to protect it from air and moisture. The suitable storage temperature is a cool place between 1 and 25 degrees.
