How to take

Beta Tablets should be taken in the morning on an empty stomach or with breakfast without chewing, taken with a drink. For adults with hypertension or angina, bisoprolol fumarate is administered as 5-10 mg once daily orally. For mild cases, 5 mg is sufficient, while for severe cases, 10 mg is administered, and in special cases, a maximum of 20 mg daily may be given. Precautions

This medication has insufficient experience in patients with heart failure due to specific diseases or conditions, requiring caution. For example, it should be used carefully in patients with type 1 insulin-dependent diabetes, severe renal or liver dysfunction, and restrictive cardiomyopathy. In patients with bronchial asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, bronchodilators should be used simultaneously, and in asthma patients, the dose of β2 agonists should be adjusted as airway resistance may increase. This medication may increase sensitivity to allergens, so adrenaline treatment may not be effective in case of severe allergic reactions. Patients with psoriasis or a history of the condition should carefully consider the risks and benefits of this drug and use it judiciously. Patients with chromaffin cell tumors should use this medication only after treatment with α-blockers, and caution is needed as symptoms of thyrotoxicosis may be masked by this drug. Regular health status checks are necessary during the initial dosing period, and sudden discontinuation can exacerbate heart conditions, so it must be tapered under medical guidance. Patients with diabetic ketoacidosis, severe bradycardia, atrioventricular block, cardiogenic shock, acute heart failure, severe hypotension, peripheral circulation disorders, and pregnant or potentially pregnant women should not be treated with this medication. Patients with bronchial asthma or obstructive lung disease, congestive heart failure, difficult-to-control diabetes, severe liver or kidney dysfunction should use this drug cautiously, and those during anesthesia or desensitization treatment should also exercise caution. While taking this medication, side effects such as reduced heart rate, lowered blood pressure, dizziness, headache, gastrointestinal disturbances, fatigue may occur, and if symptoms worsen, consult healthcare professionals. Long-term use requires regular heart function checks and monitoring of blood pressure, liver, and kidney function; sudden discontinuation poses risks, so a stepwise reduction in dosage is necessary. Interactions may occur when taken with other medications, so any currently taken drugs should be reported to healthcare professionals. Pregnant or nursing women are advised not to take this medication unless absolutely necessary, in which case the status of the fetus and newborn should be closely monitored. Safety in children has not been established, and its use is not recommended. Elderly patients should start at a lower dose and carefully monitor their condition, and caution is necessary when driving or operating machinery due to individual differences. In cases of overdose, symptoms such as severe bradycardia, hypotension, bronchospasm may occur, and immediate medical attention is required for appropriate treatment. Finally, this medication should be kept out of reach of children and stored in its original container to maintain quality and safety.
