Precautions

This medication contains the artificial sweetener aspartame, which should not be used in patients with phenylketonuria, a genetic disease. Care should be taken not to exceed the recommended daily intake of aspartame, especially for adults weighing 60 kg, where the maximum should not exceed 2.4 g per day. Patients with a history of allergies to any component of this medication or beta-lactam antibiotics may experience severe hypersensitivity reactions, and should not take this medication. Patients with viral infections such as infectious mononucleosis or lymphocytic leukemia are also at risk for rashes and should avoid using this medication. Patients with a history of liver dysfunction or jaundice caused by this medication or penicillin-class drugs are at risk for recurrence and should avoid it. Patients with genetic disorders affecting lactose metabolism should not take this medication. Caution is needed when using this medication in patients with poor liver function, as it may further deteriorate liver function. Patients with severe kidney disease may have increased blood concentration of this medication and should use it carefully with adjusted dosing intervals. Patients with allergic predisposition or family history, those unable to take oral medications, elderly patients, or patients in poor overall condition should also use this medicine with caution. Patients with digestive disorders or severe vomiting and diarrhea may have insufficient drug absorption and should be treated carefully. This medication may cause side effects such as diarrhea, gastritis, vomiting, and abdominal pain; in severe cases, conditions like pseudomembranous colitis may occur, so consult a doctor immediately if symptoms arise. Long-term use may result in liver dysfunction or symptoms of hepatitis and jaundice, necessitating regular liver function tests while on this medication. Severe allergic reactions such as rash, hives, or anaphylaxis may occur infrequently; if such symptoms appear, stop taking the medication and seek medical attention immediately. Blood tests may reveal decreased white blood cell count, anemia, or thrombocytopenia, so watch for these abnormalities during prolonged use. Symptoms of central nervous system disturbances, such as drowsiness, anxiety, or seizures, have been reported infrequently, particularly in patients with decreased kidney function or those taking high doses, requiring caution. Kidney issues such as acute renal failure or nephritis may occur, so regular kidney function tests are recommended. Disruption of intestinal bacterial balance can lead to candidiasis or stomatitis, requiring consultation with a doctor if symptoms arise. Risk of bleeding due to vitamin K deficiency necessitates caution in patients with a tendency to bleed. Tooth staining may occur infrequently, so maintain good oral hygiene after taking syrup formulations. To prevent the development of resistant bacteria, it is best to administer this medication for the necessary duration following sensitivity tests. Patients with a history of hypersensitivity to penicillin-class drugs are at heightened risk of severe allergic reactions and should be cautious. Anaphylactic shock may occur, so monitor the patient after administration and be prepared for emergencies. The risk of antibiotic-associated pseudomembranous colitis necessitates immediate discontinuation of the medication in the case of severe diarrhea or abdominal pain. Prolonged use beyond 14 days carries a risk of overgrowth of resistant bacteria, requiring vigilance. Patients with impaired liver function are at increased risk of liver deterioration when taking this medication, necessitating caution. Patients with kidney impairment require dose adjustments and adherence to prescribed dosages. Patients suspected of having infectious mononucleosis should avoid using this medication. If symptoms such as skin rashes, hives, or serum sickness occur, discontinue use immediately and follow medical advice. It is essential to verify past allergy history before administration. Shake well before use and keep the prepared medication refrigerated, using it within 7 days after preparation. Overdosage may lead to symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea, rash, and drowsiness; in severe cases, renal failure or seizures may occur, necessitating immediate medical attention. This medication can be removed through hemodialysis, so seek appropriate treatment in case of overdose. It is advisable not to administer this medication during the first three months of pregnancy, and if used during pregnancy, the benefits and risks should be carefully considered. During breastfeeding, diarrhea or hypersensitivity may occur in infants, so discontinue use if such symptoms appear. Safety for premature infants or neonates less than 2 months old has not been established, so it is advisable not to use it. Elderly patients may experience adverse reactions more readily due to decreased bodily function; therefore, careful attention to dosing and administration intervals is required. This medication may affect the results of certain clinical tests, so inform the examining physician of its use. Caution should be taken regarding interactions with other medications, and patients should inform their doctor or pharmacist of any drugs they are taking.
