In cases of severe and respiratory infections, it can be increased to 1 dose of 500 mg/125 mg. Precautions

This medication is a beta-lactam antibiotic belonging to the penicillin class. Therefore, it should not be administered to patients who have had hypersensitivity reactions to this medication or similar class drugs. Patients with viral infections such as infectious mononucleosis or lymphocytic leukemia are at a higher risk of rash and should be monitored closely. Patients who have previously experienced liver dysfunction or jaundice from this medication or penicillin may have a risk of recurrence, so it is better to avoid administration. Patients with poor liver function or moderate to severe renal impairment may have increased drug concentration and should use it cautiously with adjusted dosing intervals. Additionally, patients with allergies, those unable to take orally, elderly patients, and those in poor overall condition should be cautious. When taking this medication, gastrointestinal adverse reactions such as diarrhea, vomiting, and abdominal pain may occur, and in severe cases, a serious condition like pseudomembranous colitis may develop, so if symptoms appear, immediate consultation with a healthcare professional is necessary. Various side effects including liver dysfunction, skin rashes, hypersensitivity reactions, blood abnormalities, and kidney dysfunction have been reported, so if any abnormal symptoms appear, it is essential to stop the medication and inform the hospital. Because this medication can cause anaphylactic shock due to hypersensitivity reactions, patient status should be closely monitored after administration, and emergency preparedness is crucial. To prevent the emergence of antibiotic-resistant bacteria, it is important to administer the medication only for the necessary duration based on susceptibility testing, as long-term use carries a risk of overgrowth of resistant bacteria. It should not be administered during the first three months of pregnancy except in special circumstances, and caution is needed during breastfeeding as it may cause adverse effects in infants. This medication is recommended only for children aged 12 years and older or weighing more than 40 kg, and in the elderly, the risk of side effects is higher due to decreased renal and liver function, thus careful adjustment of dosage and intervals is necessary. Additionally, this medication can interact with other drugs, so if there are concurrent medications, it is essential to inform the healthcare professional and proceed with caution. In case of overdose, gastrointestinal symptoms, renal dysfunction, neurological symptoms, etc. may occur, so administration should be stopped immediately and appropriate treatment must be received. Storage should be in a tightly sealed container to avoid moisture, and it is recommended to store it in a cool and dry place below 25 degrees Celsius. Do not stop taking the medication or change the dosage arbitrarily.
