Precautions

This medicine contains the artificial sweetener aspartame and should not be used by patients with phenylketonuria. Additionally, it should not be administered to patients who have had an allergy to this medicine or to beta-lactam antibiotics, patients with infectious mononucleosis or lymphocytic leukemia, and those with a history of liver dysfunction or jaundice. This product contains lactose and should not be taken by patients with genetic issues such as galactose intolerance, lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption. Patients with poor liver or kidney function, allergic constitution, elderly patients, or those with gastrointestinal diseases should use this medicine cautiously and consult a doctor immediately if unusual symptoms occur during use. This medicine can cause gastrointestinal side effects such as diarrhea, vomiting, or abdominal pain, and in severe cases can lead to serious conditions such as pseudomembranous colitis or acute pancreatitis, so caution is required. Hepatic side effects, such as abnormal liver function tests, hepatitis, or cholestatic jaundice, may also occur, warranting regular monitoring during prolonged use. Skin reactions such as rashes, itching, and in severe cases, conditions like Stevens-Johnson syndrome may occur; therefore, it is essential to discontinue use immediately if any abnormal reactions occur. Hematological side effects such as leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, anemia have been rarely reported, and there may be a tendency for bleeding, requiring caution. Effects on the central nervous system can lead to anxiety, confusion, and seizures, and acute renal failure or nephritis may occur in the kidneys, necessitating symptom observation. This medicine can interact with other drugs, especially when combined with anticoagulants, anti-inflammatory drugs, or antibiotics, so strict adherence to a doctor's instructions is essential. Use of this medicine is restricted for pregnant or nursing women; it is advisable to avoid use during the first trimester of pregnancy, and nursing mothers should carefully monitor for any adverse reactions in their infants. The safety of this medicine is not established for children, especially newborns under 2 months or premature infants, so its use is not recommended. Elderly patients may experience more pronounced unusual reactions due to declining physical functions, hence dose adjustment and observation are necessary. This product should be stored in a cool place between 1°C and 25°C in a tightly sealed container to protect it from air and moisture. By doing so, the effectiveness of the medication can be maintained for a longer period. In case of overdose, gastrointestinal symptoms or kidney failure, seizures may occur, requiring immediate medical attention for appropriate treatment. Finally, since prolonged use of this medicine carries the risk of resistant bacteria development, it is crucial to use it for the minimum necessary duration.
