Adult dose
For mild to moderate infections such as recurrent tonsillitis, upper respiratory tract infections, lower respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, and skin and soft tissue infections, administer amoxicillin/clavulanate potassium at a dosage of 25 mg/3.6 mg per kg of body weight daily, divided into 2 doses. For severe infections such as otitis media, sinusitis, lower respiratory tract infections like bronchopneumonia, and urinary tract infections, administer amoxicillin/clavulanate potassium at a dosage of 45 mg/6.4 mg per kg of body weight daily.
Child dose
The 7:1 syrup is not suitable for children under 2 months of age. It is also not suitable for pediatric patients with renal impairment.

This medication is effective against various types of bacteria and is used for respiratory infections such as acute and chronic bronchitis, pneumonia, empyema, and lung abscess. It is also effective for infectious diseases such as tonsillitis, sinusitis, and otitis media. It can be applied for urogenital infections such as cystitis, urethritis, and pyelonephritis, and is used to treat sexually transmitted infections like gonorrhea and pelvic inflammatory disease. It is also utilized for skin and soft tissue infections, boils, abscesses, wound infections, and is effective for treating osteomyelitis and dental infections. It is used to improve various infectious diseases.

How to take

Adult dose

For mild to moderate infections such as recurrent tonsillitis, upper respiratory tract infections, lower respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, and skin and soft tissue infections, administer amoxicillin/clavulanate potassium at a dosage of 25 mg/3.6 mg per kg of body weight daily, divided into 2 doses. Precautions

During the use of this medication, adverse reactions such as diarrhea, abdominal pain, rash, and urticaria may occur; if severe, it is crucial to stop taking the medication immediately and consult a physician. Symptoms of liver dysfunction may appear during treatment or up to 6 weeks after discontinuation, hence monitoring is necessary. Rarely, hypersensitivity reactions such as skin rashes or shock may occur, thus close observation of the patient's condition is essential after administering this medication. Prolonged use of this medication may lead to antibiotic resistance, so it is advisable to use it for the shortest necessary duration. If diarrhea worsens during or after antibiotic use, the possibility of pseudomembranous colitis should be considered, and immediate consultation with medical personnel is recommended. It is safer not to use this medication during the first three months of pregnancy, and caution is also required during breastfeeding, as diarrhea or allergic reactions may occur in the infant. Safety in premature infants or newborns under 2 months has not been established, so it is advisable to avoid administering it. This medication may interact with other drugs, so it is important to consult a healthcare professional when used alongside anticoagulants or certain antibiotics. In cases of overdose, symptoms such as gastrointestinal disturbance, renal dysfunction, and convulsions may occur, necessitating immediate medical attention for appropriate treatment. Shake well before use, and store in a tightly sealed container protected from air and moisture; it should be kept in a cool and dry place below 25 degrees Celsius and used within 7 days after preparation.
