Precautions

This medication requires periodic monitoring of blood concentration to adjust the dosage. If the blood concentration is too high, serious side effects like convulsions or cardiac arrhythmias may occur. Special care must be taken when used in patients with heart disease. When using injectable preparations in glass ampoules, the container should be carefully cut to prevent glass fragments from being mixed in, particularly when administering to children or the elderly. This medication should not be used in patients allergic to it or its components, or those who have experienced severe side effects in the past, or patients with gastric ulcers, certain metabolic disorders, etc. Patients with epilepsy, hyperthyroidism, renal or liver impairment, hypertension, elderly patients, and women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should be treated with caution and follow the physician's instructions. When administering this medication, side effects such as headaches, insomnia, dizziness, palpitations, nausea, and vomiting may occur, so medical consultation should be sought immediately if these symptoms appear. There are many interactions with other medications, so if the patient is taking other drugs, the physician or pharmacist must be informed, as some medications may not be used together or dosage adjustments may be necessary. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should use this medication cautiously under medical advice, as it may affect the fetus or newborn. It is advisable not to use this medication in children, especially infants under 6 months of age, and care should be taken in children with a history of epilepsy, as they may be at risk for convulsions. Elderly patients may require dosage adjustments due to increased blood concentration from impaired liver function. Severe reactions such as cardiac arrhythmias or shock may occur when administered rapidly, so it is safer to dilute and administer it slowly.
