Efficacy & effects

This medication is used to relieve symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, nasal congestion, and tearing caused by colds or allergic and vasomotor rhinitis. It is also effective in temporarily relieving nasal congestion due to sinusitis. Thus, this drug helps improve inflammatory symptoms related to the nose.

Dosage and Administration

Children aged 6 years and older to under 12 years: Take 1/2 tablet every 4 hours. Do not exceed 3 tablets in 24 hours and follow doctor's instructions. Children under 6 years of age: Follow doctor's instructions.

Precautions

This medication contains aspartame, an artificial sweetener that is metabolized into phenylalanine in the body. Therefore, it should not be used by patients with the hereditary disorder known as phenylketonuria. The maximum daily allowable amount of aspartame should not exceed the WHO recommended limit of 40 mg/kg, and for adults, it is safe to take less than 2.4 g per day. Additionally, individuals with allergies or hypersensitivity to any of the components in this product, those with specific constitutional disorders, nursing women, patients with severe hypertension or coronary artery disease, and those receiving certain medications should avoid use. Caution is also needed in cases of glaucoma, symptoms of urinary retention, peptic ulcers, asthma, or chronic lung disease. This medication contains lactose, so it is recommended not to use it in patients with lactose intolerance or related genetic disorders. Patients with chronic bronchitis, heart disease, hypertension, thyroid problems, diabetes, glaucoma, or prostatic enlargement who have difficulties urinating should not take this medication without a doctor's instructions. This medication contains a dye known as Yellow No. 5, so caution should be exercised if there is an allergy or hypersensitivity to this ingredient. Possible side effects include anxiety, tension, tremors, weakness, dyspnea, urinary difficulties, insomnia, hallucinations, seizures, cardiac rhythm disturbances, dizziness, etc. Additionally, individuals sensitive to the antihistamine component may experience drowsiness, dry mouth, headaches, or nervousness. There is a possibility of excitement symptoms in children, so caution should be exercised.
