Precautions

This medication should not be administered to patients who have had allergies to specific components or beta-lactam antibiotics. In particular, caution is needed for patients with infectious mononucleosis or lymphocytic leukemia due to a higher risk of rashes. Patients who previously experienced liver dysfunction or jaundice due to this medication or penicillin should avoid it due to the risk of recurrence. For patients with impaired liver or kidney function, the medication concentration may increase, so it should be administered with caution. Patients with allergic tendencies or gastrointestinal issues such as vomiting and diarrhea should also use it cautiously. While taking this medication, gastrointestinal adverse effects such as diarrhea, abdominal pain, and vomiting may occur, and if symptoms are severe, the use of the medication should be immediately discontinued. Regular liver function tests are required since liver enzyme levels may rise or jaundice symptoms may appear. Severe skin rashes or allergic reactions may occur rarely, and if these symptoms arise, the administration should be stopped immediately and follow the doctor's instructions. Changes in blood tests, such as leukopenia or thrombocytopenia, may occur, and if abnormal symptoms appear, tests should be conducted. Rarely, central nervous system symptoms such as dizziness and seizures may occur, so caution is required. Women in early pregnancy or breastfeeding should use this medication cautiously after consulting a doctor, and observation is necessary as it may affect infants. Elderly patients are at risk of bleeding due to decreased kidney function and vitamin K deficiency, so dosage and administration intervals should be adjusted during use. This medication may interact with other drugs, so it is essential to inform the prescriber of any concurrent medications. Overdosage may lead to symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea, rashes, and drowsiness, and in severe cases, medical attention should be sought immediately. After use, store it in a refrigerator and complete the intake within 7 days for safety.
