This medication is used to relieve symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, nasal congestion, and tearing caused by colds, allergies, and vasomotor rhinitis. The tablet and syrup formulations relieve these symptoms including tearing, while the capsule formulation helps alleviate sneezing, runny nose, and nasal congestion. This medication effectively improves symptoms for patients suffering from these conditions.

How to take

Adult dose

(Tablet) Take 1 tablet, 3 times a day after meals. (Capsule) Take 1 capsule, 3 times a day after meals. (Syrup) Take 10 mL, 3 times a day after meals.

Child dose

(Tablet) For children aged 12 to 14 years, take 1/2 tablet, 3 times a day after meals. (Capsule) For children aged 12 to 14 years, take 1/2 capsule, 3 times a day after meals. (Syrup) For children aged 12 years or older.

Precautions

This medication contains pseudoephedrine and may cause serious skin adverse reactions such as acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis (AGEP). If symptoms such as fever, skin rash, or small blisters occur, discontinue use immediately and consult a physician or pharmacist. This medication is contraindicated for certain health conditions. For instance, individuals with an allergy to this medication, severely impaired liver and kidney function, severe heart disease, or problems with urination should not take it. Additionally, patients with hypertension, pregnant or breastfeeding women, infants under 2 years old, or those taking certain other medications should also avoid this medication. While taking this medication, do not use it in conjunction with blood pressure medications, alcohol, sedatives, some antidepressants, and sympathomimetics. Importantly, if you have taken MAO inhibitors, you must wait a certain period before taking this medication. During treatment, it is advisable to avoid activities requiring attention, such as driving or operating dangerous machinery. If you have asthma, glaucoma, heart disease, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, or prostatic hypertrophy, or if you are under 12 years old, consult a healthcare professional before taking this medication. If symptoms do not improve within 7 days or if fever develops, discontinue use immediately and seek advice from a healthcare professional. Additionally, if unusual symptoms such as sedation, drowsiness, anxiety, vision problems, hallucinations, convulsions, skin rash, vomiting, or urination problems occur, stop taking the medication and consult your doctor. In case of overdose, symptoms such as hallucinations, convulsions, neurological irritability, dizziness, and insomnia may occur, and proper treatment should be sought. Store this medication out of reach of children, avoid direct sunlight, and keep it in a cool, dry place. Additionally, store it in its original container and avoid transferring it to another container.

Acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis (AGEP), severe skin adverse reactions associated with fever, central nervous system symptoms (fever, respiratory paralysis, coma, circulatory collapse), skin reactions similar to AGEP, symptoms related to AGEP, AGEP, AGEP, AGEP, pseudoephedrine.

Drug interactions

This drug should not be taken with MAO inhibitors, antihypertensives, central nervous system depressants (hypnotics, sedatives, anxiolytics), sympathomimetics, tricyclic antidepressants, guanethidine, bretylium, beta-naride, debrisoquine, methyl dopa, sympathomimetic drugs (decongestants, appetite suppressants, amphetamine-like stimulants), or α and β adrenergic inhibitors.

Food interactions

This drug should not be taken with alcohol.

Store this medication in a tightly closed container that protects from light, at a temperature between 1 and 30 degrees Celsius (room temperature). Proper storage will help maintain the efficacy of the medication and prevent degradation.
