Adult dosage
(Capsules)(Dry syrup) Adults Skin and soft tissue infections, respiratory tract infections: Depending on severity, administer cefradine 250mg~500mg (potency) per dose 4 times daily, or 500mg~1g (potency) twice daily by mouth. Urinary tract infections: For uncomplicated urinary tract infections, administer 500mg (potency) per dose twice daily. For severe urinary tract infections, administer 500mg (potency) per dose 4 times daily or 1g (potency) per dose twice daily. Severe infections may also require prolonged and intensive treatment. Patients with renal impairment For patients not undergoing hemodialysis, administer as follows. For patients undergoing chronic intermittent hemodialysis, administer an initial dose of 250mg (potency) at the start of hemodialysis, followed by 250mg (potency) 6~12 hours later and 36~48 hours later. Then administer 250mg at the next hemodialysis session (only if at least 30 hours have elapsed since the most recent dose). Adjust the dose as appropriate according to age and symptoms. (Injection) Adults: Administer cefradine 2~4g (potency) daily in 4 divided doses by intravenous or intramuscular injection. For bone infections, administer 1g (potency) per dose intravenously 4 times daily. For most infections, administer 500mg (potency) per dose 4 times daily by intravenous or intramuscular injection. For severe infections (e.g., sepsis), the daily dose may be increased up to 8g (potency). Patients with renal impairment For patients not undergoing hemodialysis, follow the table for capsules and dry syrup. For patients undergoing chronic intermittent hemodialysis, administer an initial dose of 250mg (potency) at the start of hemodialysis, followed by 250mg (potency) 6~12 hours later and 36~48 hours later. Administer 250mg (potency) before the next hemodialysis session if at least 30 hours have elapsed since the previous dose. Adjust the dose as appropriate according to age and symptoms. As with other antibiotics, treatment should generally continue for at least 48~72 hours after symptoms resolve or evidence of bacterial eradication appears. For group A beta-hemolytic streptococcal infections, treatment for at least 10 days is recommended to prevent the risk of rheumatic fever or glomerulonephritis. For intravenous injection, dissolve 500mg (potency) of this medicine in 5mL of Sterile Water for Injection, 5% dextrose injection, or normal saline injection, and inject intravenously over 3~5 minutes. For intravenous infusion, dissolve in an infusion fluid such as 5% or 10% dextrose injection or normal saline injection and infuse intravenously. For intramuscular injection, dissolve 500mg (potency) of this medicine in 2.0mL of Sterile Water for Injection or normal saline injection and inject intramuscularly.
Children's dosage
Children (capsules)(dry syrup): Administer 25~50mg (potency) per kg of body weight daily in 2~4 divided oral doses. Do not administer more than 4g (potency) daily or exceed the adult dose. Children, otitis media: Administer 75~100mg (potency) per kg of body weight daily in 2~4 divided doses. Do not administer more than 4g (potency) daily or exceed the adult dose. It is preferable not to administer to infants 9 months of age or younger. Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients who have experienced shock from it previously. Patients with a history of allergic reactions to this drug or to cephalosporin antibiotics should not be treated with it, but in necessary cases, it should be used with extreme caution. Patients allergic to penicillin antibiotics should also exercise caution. Administer cautiously to patients with bronchial asthma or a history of allergic manifestations such as rashes and hives. Special caution is needed in patients with severely impaired renal function. Patients who have difficulty swallowing tablets, those receiving non-oral nutrition, the elderly, and those in poor overall health may develop signs of vitamin K deficiency, so their condition should be closely monitored. This medication contains a dye called Yellow No. 5, so patients allergic to this component should use it cautiously. While using this medication, closely observe for any allergic reactions such as shock symptoms, rashes, hives, itching, fever, and swelling. If any abnormal symptoms occur, stop administration immediately and seek appropriate care. Gastrointestinal side effects may include abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and gastric discomfort, so consult a doctor promptly if symptoms are severe. If respiratory symptoms such as asthma or dyspnea occur, stop administration and seek treatment. Blood tests may occasionally show leukopenia or anemia; therefore, regular monitoring is required. Severe rashes or serious skin reactions like Stevens-Johnson syndrome may occur rarely, so caution is necessary. Liver dysfunction or decreased kidney function may develop, hence continuous observation is required. This medication can disrupt normal intestinal flora, leading to oral thrush or candidiasis. Increased risk of bleeding due to vitamin K deficiency requires particular caution in the elderly. To prevent the emergence of resistant bacteria, it is advisable to perform susceptibility tests and administer the drug only for the necessary duration. To prevent shock reactions, it is preferable to confirm the patient's medical history and conduct skin reaction tests beforehand. During administration, be prepared for emergency measures and monitor the patient in a stable condition adequately. Caution is warranted when used with diuretics or aminoglycoside antibiotics due to potential strain on renal function. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should use this medication only if the benefits outweigh the risks, as its safety has not been established. Women who are breastfeeding should also administer this medication cautiously as it may be excreted in breast milk. Avoid administration in premature infants or infants under 9 months old as its safety has not been established. Elderly patients should be carefully monitored as they may experience adverse reactions more readily due to decreased physical function; dosage and intervals should be adjusted accordingly. This medication may yield false-positive results in some urine tests, so caution is needed during testing. Moreover, it may show positive results in direct Coombs tests, so care should be taken when interpreting test results.
