Precautions

This drug is a cephalosporin antibiotic and should not be administered to certain patients. Patients with a history of allergic reactions to cephalosporins, premature infants, and newborns should not use this medication. Care should be taken when administering it to pregnant women in the early stages of pregnancy, patients with reduced renal and liver function, patients with blood-related diseases, patients with gastrointestinal disorders, patients who have difficulty swallowing or elderly patients, and those in poor general condition, with careful monitoring for signs of vitamin K deficiency. Mild hypersensitivity reactions such as headaches, dizziness, and nausea may occur during the use of this drug, and serious allergic reactions like skin rash, fever, or anaphylaxis may rarely occur; if symptoms occur, use should be immediately discontinued, and appropriate treatment should be sought. Liver dysfunction, transient leukopenia, gastrointestinal disturbances, and symptoms of severe colitis may also appear, so if abdominal pain or diarrhea occurs, administration should be stopped immediately. Respiratory symptoms such as fever, cough, and difficulty breathing may rarely occur; in these cases, discontinue administration and seek necessary treatment. Additionally, dysbacteriosis such as stomatitis or candidiasis, as well as symptoms of vitamin K and B group deficiencies, may also occur, so caution is necessary. To prevent the emergence of resistant bacteria, it is important to perform susceptibility testing and administer for the minimum necessary duration. It is advisable to conduct a thorough medical history and skin reaction tests in advance to prepare for acute adverse reactions like allergic responses, and to observe the patient during the post-administration period. When co-administered with other antibiotics or medications that may affect kidney function, use should be more cautious, and care should be taken when used with medications that may affect blood coagulation. If breastfeeding, caution is required as the drug may pass into breast milk in small amounts.
