Dosage

(Caution) (Cataplasma) Remove the release paper from the medication and apply it to the affected area twice a day. (Caution/Kepentek-L, Ketotop-L Plaster) After removing the release paper, apply it to the affected area once a day. (Gel 3%) Apply an appropriate amount 1 to 4 times daily to the affected area and gently rub it in until fully absorbed. (Gel 5%) Apply an appropriate amount 1 to 2 times daily to the affected area and gently rub it in until fully absorbed.

Precautions

This medication should not be used by individuals who have experienced an allergic reaction to this medication or its ingredients, or who have had a hypersensitivity reaction to light. Individuals who have had an asthma attack triggered by non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs known as aspirin asthma should avoid this medication, as it could provoke asthma attacks. Moreover, those who have had allergic reactions to certain medications should exercise caution, as this medication may cause cross-reactions. Pregnant women over six months should refrain from using this medication, as it may cause vasoconstriction or renal function abnormalities in the fetus. It is considered safe not to use this medication in children under 15 years of age. Patients with bronchial asthma should consult a doctor or pharmacist before using this medication, as should patients who are currently receiving treatment. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should avoid prolonged or extensive use of this medication, as its safety has not been sufficiently established. If severe allergic symptoms such as hives, difficulty breathing, or facial swelling occur while using this medication, it should be discontinued immediately, and a healthcare professional should be consulted. Additionally, if symptoms such as wheezing or difficulty breathing appear, use of this medication should be stopped immediately. Symptoms such as skin redness, rash, itching, blisters, irritation, swelling, etc. may occur, and exposure to sunlight can increase skin sensitivity, so use should be discontinued if these symptoms worsen. If symptoms do not improve after more than a week of use, consult a doctor or pharmacist. During the use of this medication and for two weeks after discontinuation, care should be taken to avoid sun exposure, and skin protection should be ensured with clothing, hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen while outdoors. When using on areas suspected of having a skin infection, appropriate antibacterial or antifungal agents should be used in conjunction, and careful monitoring for side effects should be conducted. This medication should not be applied to the eyes or mucosal areas, and caution should be taken when applying it to damaged skin or areas of eczema or rash, as temporary irritation or pain may occur. It is advisable not to use this medication for skin conditions like athlete's foot or tinea corporis, and sealing bandage methods should not be employed.
