This medicine is used to relieve conditions such as degenerative arthritis (osteoarthritis), subacromial inflammation of the shoulder, tendonitis or tendinosis, lateral epicondylitis (tennis elbow, etc.), joint and tendon diseases, muscle pain, swelling and pain following trauma.

Dosage

(Warning) (Cataplasma) After removing the release paper on the drug side, apply it to the affected area twice a day. (Warning/Kepentec-L, Ketotop-L Plaster) After removing the release paper on the drug side, apply it to the affected area once a day. (Gel 3%) Depending on symptoms, apply an appropriate amount to the affected area 1 to 4 times a day and gently rub to ensure absorption. (Gel 5%) Depending on symptoms, apply an appropriate amount to the affected area 1 to 2 times a day and ensure proper absorption.

Precautions

This drug should not be used by individuals who are allergic to any of its components or have previously shown hypersensitivity to light. Individuals who have experienced asthma attacks due to medications known as aspirin asthma should also avoid this drug. Additionally, individuals with a history of allergies to certain medications may experience cross-reactivity with this drug and should exercise caution. Women who are more than 6 months pregnant are advised not to use this drug due to potential effects on the fetus. Children under 15 years of age should also not use this drug. Patients with bronchial asthma or those currently undergoing treatment, as well as women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, should consult a healthcare professional before using this drug. If allergic symptoms or side effects such as difficulty breathing, skin rash, or itching occur while using this drug, it should be stopped immediately, and a healthcare professional should be consulted. It is important to cease use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if symptoms do not improve after one week. The treated area should be protected from sunlight with clothing, hats, or sunscreens to avoid exposure. This medication helps alleviate symptoms but is not a fundamental treatment, so other treatment options should also be considered. When there is a skin infection, use appropriate antimicrobials concurrently and carefully monitor for adverse effects. Do not apply this drug to the eyes or mucous membranes, and use caution if applying it to damaged skin or areas affected by eczema, as irritation or pain may occur. It is advisable not to use this drug for fungal infections such as athlete’s foot or ringworm. After applying this drug, it is safe not to use a sealing bandage. Finally, store this product out of reach of children.

Side effects

Urticaria, difficulty breathing, facial swelling (severe edema), asthma attacks, dry rales, wheezing, severe allergic reactions including contact dermatitis and breathing problems.
