This medication is used for various gastrointestinal disorders such as gastric and duodenal ulcers, gastroesophageal reflux disease, recurrent ulcers, anastomotic ulcers, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. It also helps to improve gastric mucosal lesions (erosion, bleeding, erythema, swelling) that occur during acute exacerbations of acute and chronic gastritis. This medication is effective in protecting the gastric mucosa and relieving symptoms, thereby improving the quality of life for patients. Overall, it is used to treat various ulcers and inflammatory conditions related to the gastrointestinal tract.
Administer 400 mg of cimetidine orally twice daily (in the morning and at bedtime) or 800 mg once daily (at bedtime). Additionally, administer 300 mg orally four times a day (after meals and at bedtime). The dose can be increased up to 1.6 g daily (400 mg four times a day after meals and at bedtime). For improving gastric mucosal lesions during acute exacerbations of acute gastritis and chronic gastritis, administer 200 mg twice daily or 400 mg once daily.
Administer 20-40 mg per kg of body weight daily in divided doses.

Pregnant women and nursing mothers should use this medication cautiously, as its safety has not been established, and nursing should be discontinued during use.
