Treats bacterial infections (urinary tract, respiratory tract, skin, etc.) and is used in combination therapy for Hansen's disease
This medication is effective against various bacteria including Staphylococcus, Streptococcus pyogenes, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and is used to treat a range of infectious diseases including complicated skin and soft tissue infections, acute otitis media, sinusitis, pneumonia, acute exacerbations of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, pyelonephritis, cystitis, urethritis, and bacterial dysentery. It is also applicable for the treatment of pelvic inflammatory disease, blepharitis, and in combination therapy for leprosy. ○ Adults usually take 300~600 mg of ofloxacin per day in 2~3 divided doses. ○ For Hansen's disease, take 400~600 mg of this medicine per day in 2~3 divided doses. In principle, use in combination with other anti-Hansen's disease medicines. Adjust the dose appropriately according to age and symptoms.
