Dosage
1. Rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis Administer 275-550mg of sodium naproxen for adults orally, twice daily (every 12 hours). 2. Acute gout Administer 825mg of sodium naproxen as the initial dose for adults orally, then 275mg every 8 hours until the attack subsides. 3. Skeletal muscle disorders, postoperative pain, pain after tooth extraction, dysmenorrhea, tendinitis, bursitis Adults.
Precautions
Caution is required when this medication is taken by individuals who regularly consume three or more alcoholic beverages daily, as it may increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding; consultation with a doctor or pharmacist is essential. This medication may increase the risk of serious thrombotic events such as myocardial infarction or stroke in individuals with cardiovascular issues or risk factors. There is a possibility of ulceration or bleeding in the gastrointestinal tract, requiring close monitoring of symptoms, especially in the elderly or those with a history of gastrointestinal diseases. Patients with peptic ulcers, severe blood abnormalities, significantly impaired liver or kidney function, severe hypertension, or hypersensitivity to this drug's components should not take it. Patients with a history of peptic ulcers, blood abnormalities, liver and kidney diseases, hypertension, or asthma should be cautious while taking this medication. This medication may cause various side effects, such as allergic reactions, gastrointestinal bleeding, liver or kidney dysfunction, skin rashes, headaches, dizziness, etc., so if any abnormal symptoms occur, discontinuation should be immediate, and a doctor should be consulted. Long-term use requires regular blood tests and liver function tests to check for abnormalities, and dosages and duration should be kept to a minimum wherever possible. Taking this medication alongside other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) or specific medications might increase the risk of side effects, so inform your physician of any other medications being taken.
