This medication is effective for rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, tendonitis, acute gout, and dysmenorrhea. This drug alleviates various inflammations and pains, helping daily life and improving symptoms.
Dosage
1. Rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis For adults, administer 275-550mg of sodium naproxen orally, twice daily (every 12 hours). 2. Acute gout For adults, the initial dose is 825mg orally, followed by 275mg orally every 8 hours until the attack resolves. 3. Skeletal muscle disorders, postoperative pain, post-extraction pain, dysmenorrhea, tendonitis, bursitis Adults
Precautions
This drug may cause a risk of gastrointestinal bleeding if taken by individuals who regularly consume more than three glasses of alcohol daily, thus it is necessary to consult a doctor or pharmacist. This medication may affect the cardiovascular system, potentially leading to serious cardiovascular issues such as myocardial infarction or stroke; individuals with cardiovascular disease or risk factors should exercise caution. It may cause serious gastrointestinal issues such as gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, and perforation, so elderly individuals or those with a history of gastrointestinal disorders should use it with caution. Individuals with peptic ulcers, severe liver or kidney disease, diminished cardiovascular function, hypertension, blood abnormalities, or hypersensitivity to non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs should not take this medication. If symptoms such as hypersensitivity, allergic reactions, severe skin rashes, or respiratory distress occur, discontinue use immediately and consult medical professionals. Long-term use requires regular blood tests and liver and kidney function tests, and if abnormal symptoms arise, disuse should be considered. This medication may interact with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, certain antihypertensives, diuretics, anticoagulants, etc., so inform your doctor or pharmacist of any medications being taken. During pregnancy, especially in late pregnancy, it is advisable not to use this medication as it may be harmful to the fetus, and women with the potential for pregnancy should also use it cautiously. Interactions
Do not take this medication with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, naproxen derivatives, or high doses of methotrexate. There may be interactions with hydantoins, sulfonamides, sulfonylureas, propranolol and other beta-blockers, ACE inhibitors (such as captopril), loop diuretics and thiazide diuretics, probenecid, aspirin, lithium, low-dose methotrexate, and coumarin anticoagulants (such as warfarin).
