This medication is used for the treatment of degenerative joint diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, tendinitis, acute gout, and dysmenorrhea. It is also effective for bursitis, musculoskeletal disorders (sprains, contusions, wounds, etc.), low back pain, post-surgical pain, migraines, and pain after tooth extraction. It is used to help improve symptoms in patients with various inflammation and pain-related conditions.
Dosage
1. Rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis: Administer sodium naproxen 275-550 mg orally, twice a day (every 12 hours). 2. Acute gout: Administer an initial dose of 825 mg orally, and after the attack subsides, administer 275 mg every 8 hours orally. 3. Musculoskeletal disorders, post-surgical pain, pain after tooth extraction, dysmenorrhea, tendinitis, bursitis: Administer an initial dose of 550 mg orally, followed by 6-8 hours later.
Precautions
If patients who regularly consume more than three glasses of alcohol daily take this medication, there is a risk of gastrointestinal bleeding and must consult a doctor or pharmacist. This medication can affect the cardiovascular system and may increase the risk of serious cardiovascular diseases, such as myocardial infarction and stroke, so those with a history of cardiovascular disease or risk factors should exercise particular caution. Serious side effects such as gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, and perforations may occur, so elderly patients or those with a history of gastrointestinal diseases should take it with extra caution. Patients with severe diseases such as peptic ulcer, severe blood disorders, liver impairment, cardiac dysfunction, renal impairment, and hypertension should not take this medication. Patients with hypersensitivity to aspirin or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs should avoid taking it if they have a history of asthma, rhinitis, or allergic reactions. This medication can be harmful to the fetus in late pregnancy, therefore pregnant women must exercise special caution, and breastfeeding individuals are advised not to take this medication. It is not recommended for children, especially infants under 2 years of age, as safety has not been established. Elderly patients are at higher risk of gastrointestinal bleeding or ulcers when taking this medication, so they should start at the lowest dose and be closely monitored. Taking this medication in conjunction with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs can increase the risk of side effects, so co-administration is not recommended. This medication may interact with specific drugs, so if other medications are being taken, such as antihypertensives, diuretics, anticoagulants, and antiepileptic drugs, patients must consult a doctor. If unusual symptoms such as rash, difficulty breathing, chest pain, severe headache, vomiting, or blood in the stool occur during treatment, the medication must be discontinued immediately and medical advice sought. This medication may help alleviate inflammation and pain, but long-term use may affect the liver, kidneys, and blood, necessitating regular check-ups. In case of overdose, symptoms such as drowsiness, indigestion, and nausea may occur, and appropriate treatment should be sought immediately at a hospital. This medication should be stored out of reach of children, and care should be taken not to transfer it to another container as this may alter its quality.

Interactions
Do not take this medication with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or naproxen derivatives, aspirin, high doses of methotrexate, hydantoins, sulfonamides, sulfonylurea hypoglycemics, propranolol and other beta-blockers, ACE inhibitors, loop diuretics and thiazide diuretics, probenecid, lithium, low-dose methotrexate, coumarin anticoagulants, zidovudine, and fluoroquinolone antibiotics.
