Dosage

Because it can induce sleep apnea or hypoxia, careful monitoring of sleep state is necessary while using this medication, and if symptoms worsen, dosage reduction or discontinuation may be required. It should not be administered to patients with acute alcohol intoxication, central nervous system drug intoxication, severe respiratory depression, head injury, recent use of MAO inhibitors, severe renal and liver impairment, pregnant or breastfeeding women, or those who are hypersensitive to this medication or opioids. Severe withdrawal symptoms may appear when taken with or repeatedly administered morphine, so caution is needed, and dosage adjustments are required for patients with liver or kidney impairment. Drug interactions may enhance central nervous system depressant effects, so when used in conjunction with other central nervous system depressants, dosage should be reduced and symptoms closely monitored. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should not use this medication, and breastfeeding mothers should be cautious as excessive sedation or respiratory depression symptoms may appear in the baby. In case of overdose, severe respiratory depression, seizures, and coma may occur; immediate emergency care should be sought, and an antidote should be used if necessary. This medication should be stored out of reach of children and kept in its original container to prevent misuse or degradation in quality.
