Relief of bronchial asthma attacks and local hemorrhage suppression
This medication helps alleviate bronchial asthma attacks and is also used to stop bleeding occurring in localized areas such as trauma, nose, mouth, or pharyngeal mucosa.
For bronchial asthma, dilute a 0.1% solution by 5-10 times for inhalation. The single administration dose should be within 0.3mg. If the effect is insufficient after 2-15 minutes, it can be repeated once more. In case of continuous use, intervals of 4-6 hours should be maintained. For localized bleeding, dilute a 0.1% solution by 5-10 times for direct application or spraying.
This medication should not be used in patients with closed-angle glaucoma due to the risk of elevated intraocular pressure, which can compromise eye health. Patients with a history of hypersensitivity or allergy to sympathomimetics should use this medication with caution. Patients with cardiac conditions such as pulmonary edema, hyperthyroidism, hypertension, heart failure, or arrhythmias should also be administered carefully. Diabetic patients need to be cautious as this medication may increase blood sugar levels. In patients with atherosclerosis, the vasoconstrictive effect may worsen vascular issues, so caution is necessary. Children and the elderly may be more sensitive to this medication, requiring lower doses and careful monitoring. As this medication contains sodium bisulfite, which may cause allergic reactions or asthma attacks, asthmatic patients should be particularly cautious. While using this medication, neurological symptoms such as headache, tremor, drowsiness, dizziness, insomnia, and sweating may occur. Gastrointestinal symptoms such as dyspepsia, nausea, and vomiting may also arise. Cardiac-related symptoms such as palpitations, blood pressure changes, and arrhythmias should be monitored closely. Respiratory tract irritation may occur, leading to cough or bronchospasm, so symptoms should be observed carefully. If skin rashes or urticaria appear, use should be discontinued immediately. Conjunctival injection or pain around the eyes may develop; it is essential to report any abnormal symptoms. If severe systemic symptoms such as pulmonary edema appear, administration should be stopped. Excessive use of this medication can lead to cardiac rhythm disturbances or increased risk of cardiac arrest, so the prescribed dosage and administration must be strictly followed. If there is no effect, do not continue usage and consult a doctor. Particularly for children, it is important to instruct on the proper use and to monitor their condition closely. Blood potassium levels may decrease, so severely asthmatic patients should have blood tests to verify. When used with other sympathomimetics, the risk of side effects increases, so caution is warranted. This medication should be avoided when used with certain anesthetics or some psychiatric medications, as it may lead to cardiac issues. Caution is also necessary when used concurrently with beta-blockers or hypoglycemic agents due to potential interactions. Using it with antidepressants may enhance the hypertensive effect, requiring careful monitoring. Pregnant women should refrain from using this medication, as it may affect the oxygen supply to the fetus. Children and the elderly may be sensitive to this medication; starting with a lower dosage and careful observation of their condition is advised. In case of symptoms from overdose, discontinuing use usually results in symptom resolution. Cardioselective beta-blockers may be used as an antidote, but caution is advised for patients with a history of bronchospasm. This medication should not be used as an injection and should not be applied directly to the eyes. When using methods other than inhalation, it is essential to follow the instructions of a doctor or pharmacist. Using cloudy medication is not safe.
