Precautions

This medication contains pseudoephedrine, which can rarely cause serious skin adverse reactions such as acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis. If symptoms such as fever, red spots on the skin, or small blisters occur, discontinue this medication immediately and consult a doctor or pharmacist. This medication should not be taken by individuals who have previously shown allergic reactions to it, have severe liver or kidney dysfunction, or have severe heart disease. Additionally, individuals with urinary retention issues, high blood pressure, coronary artery disease, women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, nursing mothers, infants under 2 years of age, and patients taking MAO inhibitors should also avoid taking this medication. While taking this medication, avoid using it with other medications that may interact, such as antihypertensives, alcohol, central nervous system depressants such as sleeping pills or sedatives, sympathomimetics, and certain antidepressants. In particular, this medication should not be started until at least 15 days after taking MAO inhibitors. During treatment, it is advisable to avoid activities that require concentration, such as driving or operating hazardous machinery. Patients with asthma, glaucoma, heart disease, arrhythmias, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, prostatic hypertrophy, or children under 12 years of age should consult with a doctor or pharmacist prior to taking this medication. If symptoms do not improve within 7 days or if high fever occurs, stop taking the medication and consult a professional immediately. Additionally, if any symptoms indicative of central nervous system issues, such as sedation, drowsiness, anxiety, sweating, hypotension, visual disturbances, hallucinations, muscle spasms, or coma occur, stop taking the medication immediately. Skin rashes, itching, dry mouth, nausea, vomiting, or urinary difficulties may also occur, so consult with a specialist if these symptoms develop. In case of overdose, symptoms such as hallucinations, seizures, nervousness, dizziness, and insomnia may occur, and immediate medical attention is required; dialysis treatment may be necessary if needed. This medication should be stored out of reach of children and kept sealed in its original container in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
