I'm receiving regular treatment for depression at a psychiatric clinic, and I'm impressed by the director's sincere listening and empathy. He doesn't simply ask about my symptoms and prescribe medication. He calmly listens to my emotional state and tries to understand, which makes me feel much more at ease during treatment. He creates an environment where I can talk about difficult situations and emotions without feeling pressured, which is incredibly helpful. He also calmly explains the best path for recovery, which builds my confidence in the treatment. Thanks to him, I feel like I'm not enduring it alone, but rather that we're all working together to heal, which is comforting.
