I visited Kim Myung-jin ENT Clinic because I was suffering from a severe cold and body aches. For several days, I had been having trouble sleeping due to a sore throat and nasal congestion. My fever also fluctuated, leaving me feeling completely drained. Usually, I would just take medication and recover quickly, but this time, it was so severe that I couldn't even function properly, so I decided to try IV drip treatment. From the moment I checked in, the overall atmosphere was calm and the waiting room was clean and tidy, giving me the impression that this neighborhood clinic was well-managed. The nurse first thoroughly asked about my symptoms, checking how long I had been feeling unwell, whether I had a fever or dizziness, and whether I was taking any medications. Once I entered the examination room, the director personally examined my throat, nose, and ears, meticulously. He explained that it wasn't just a cold; I was also experiencing dehydration and physical exhaustion, which could delay my recovery. While he could have just prescribed medication, he advised me that, given my current condition, a Ringer's IV drip would aid my recovery. He made it easy for me to choose, without pressure, so I felt comfortable. I was taken to the IV room, which was quiet thanks to the separate space, and the bed and surroundings were clean. The nurse was also very skilled at locating the IV, and it was done quickly and cleanly. I felt almost no pain. As the IV drip slowly entered, my body gradually warmed up and my mind became clearer. The nurse also checked on me periodically during the IV drip, which was reassuring. The IV drip lasted about 40 minutes, but since I was lying down and resting, it didn't feel like much time. Even after the IV drip, the doctor checked my condition again and advised me to get plenty of rest and drink plenty of water. He also explained in detail how to take the prescribed medication. I could feel the difference on the way home, and the next morning, my fever and body aches had noticeably decreased, making my daily life much easier. It didn't feel like a simple IV drip, but rather a systematic approach, from diagnosis to management.
