Double eyelid surgery review~ After 16 years?

I think I've had double eyelids for about 15 to 16 years.

It's been a long time.

I'll just write my honest review in a fun way.^^

I think it was a few years after graduating from university.

The location was about a 5-minute walk from Konkuk University Station, near the hospital.

I always had something I wished for deep in my heart.

Nene~ It doesn't really look like Shim Eun-ha, so do you think it suits me? (laughs) Even now, but back then, most people wanted to have surgery to look like celebrities. 😁

I just told the doctor to do it regardless of my eye condition. I requested a double eyelid that doesn't show outwardly and looks like a natural fold when blinking. The doctor didn't say much, probably because they've handled such requests many times.

And since I have a lot of fat, I also decided to remove fat through an incision method, and because my forehead is wide, I also agreed to have a frontal eyelid surgery.

At that time, the front eyelid surgery technique had not been developed for very long.

So, honestly, my front eyelid surgery was a failure.

There is no itching, only the surgical scars remain, and even the scars are asymmetrical on the right and left. 😢

These days, technology is different from back then, so it seems to work well. For those who are worried, don't worry.^^

I don't remember the exact price, but I think it was around 1.5 million won at that time. I also think it was a little more than just the front eyelid surgery(?).

 

Since the surgery was performed under local anesthesia, I felt twice the amount of tension during the procedure.

The feeling of that crunching sound when cutting, it all comes through, so it doesn't hurt, but I really dislike that feeling.

Wow~ To become prettier, I have to endure. I have to overcome! I keep telling myself this over and over again...

The surgery didn't seem to take very long.

And then, bravely alone, I finished and returned home from a long distance, wearing my hat pulled down low.

 

A few days after that, I went shopping in Dongdaemun with a bandaged arm, and even though I was wearing a hat tightly, they still recognized me. Haha.

Anyway, the older sisters in Dongdaemun are probably the quickest to notice these things. Hehe.

You had eye surgery, right? Your eyes are swollen. Oh? Did you also get a nose job? It looks pretty. That's great~

I heard that kind of thing a lot back then.

I only did my eyes. The rest is all mine. I said it's my nose originally. Would my bridge be this low if I had done it?

That excuse, which isn't really an excuse, I kept using around me even after that. Since I usually have everything done in a set, including my nose, everyone was suspicious.

Interestingly, after eye surgery, the features of my face became more prominent, which was quite surprising. Haha.

 

And after that~

My life wasn't bad before, but after getting double eyelid surgery, it has become more lively and better.

I've never been rejected for my impression during interviews, and I've experienced both blind dates and dating meetings! Everything is okay on the first try~!

I think the men who follow me started appearing after my double eyelid surgery. Haha

There is no one who dislikes me at first impression. Haha.

Right after the surgery, I used to hide the double eyelid line with glasses because it looked awkward. Is the line a bit thick?

I only had double eyelid surgery. My eyes are naturally large, so after the surgery, they look twice as big. Also, I have naturally prominent eye charm points, which can be misunderstood. My nose is also just my own^^

 

 

And then...... after 16 years

Does the front eye corner lift not show?

Incision method results in a visible surgical line. The embedding method is more natural and less noticeable.

I wanted to do the embedding method, but I couldn't because of my fat tissue. The embedding method is for those with thin fat tissue, so I'm envious.

They say that over time, the eyelids sag and I might need to undergo revision surgery. I am contemplating it...

That's right. Since I happen to have double eyelids like Shim Eun-ha, my eyes look more droopy, and eyeshadow and eyeliner tend to smudge more during makeup. Honestly, it's better to avoid this kind of double eyelid if possible. I think a clearly rounded, crescent-shaped double eyelid looks more beautiful.

 

These days, double eyelid surgery is so simple and turns out really well, right?

It's an old skill, but I benefited from it in my social life after doing it, so if you're 고민이신 분들 그냥 하세요.

Look at me. The effect made my nose look even higher, so much so that everyone asked if I had gotten a nose job.
