(Question) I'm worried about removing spots from the whites of my eyes.

Lately, I've been constantly bothered by small spots on the whites of my eyes. At first, it was just a tiny dot that was barely visible unless I looked closely, so I didn't pay much attention to it. However, as time passed, I felt like the spots were getting darker and growing larger. I even looked through photos from when I was younger, and since they weren't there then, I don't think it's congenital.

I looked it up and found out that it can also be caused by acquired factors such as UV rays, trauma, or repetitive irritation. So, I've been trying my best to take care of it.

(Question) I'm worried about removing spots from the whites of my eyes.  (Question) I'm worried about removing spots from the whites of my eyes.

When going out, I tried to wear sunglasses as much as possible, even on days when the sun wasn't strong, and especially in the summer, I carried a wide-brimmed hat and used a parasol. I had a habit of touching my eyes frequently because they are usually dry, but since I heard that rubbing can be irritating, I made a conscious effort to reduce touching them with my hands. I also carried artificial tears with me and used them whenever my eyes felt dry, and I significantly reduced the time I wore contact lenses compared to before. I also thought that looking at my phone late at night was bad for eye strain, so I tried to go to bed as early as possible and occasionally applied warm compresses to my eyes, but honestly, I didn't feel like there was any noticeable improvement.

In fact, at some point, the spot seemed to get a little bigger and darker, so I keep looking at it whenever I see it in the mirror. Even when talking up close, I get 괜히 self-conscious, wondering if the other person might see it. I saw that the celebrity Suzy had a mole removed from her eye, so I am considering whether I should get mine removed with a procedure like a laser. However, since it is on my eye, I feel a bit scared. I am worried that if something goes wrong, it might cause problems with my eyesight or eye health. Also, I have read that they can appear due to the effects of aging, so I am confused about whether removing it is really the right thing to do.

Has anyone else been worried about spots appearing on the whites of their eyes like me? If anyone has had them removed with a laser, I'm curious about the pain, the recovery process, and whether they recur. I would be really grateful to hear about your actual experiences or advice.
