Eating protein-rich foods in the morning helps with dieting.

 

Breakfast is important. It not only awakens the sleeping body and provides energy but also influences food intake throughout the day. A research team from the University of Sydney in Australia once studied 9,341 adults with an average age of 46. They used data on nutrition and physical activity to compare and analyze the correlation between protein intake and daily calorie consumption.

 

As a result, the group with a higher proportion of protein intake in the morning had a lower total daily calorie intake compared to other groups. Participants who consumed a small amount of protein at their first meal of the day generally had a higher overall food intake and snacked more frequently. They were mainly found to prefer high-calorie snacks that contained a lot of saturated fat, sugar, salt, or alcohol.

 

Conversely, those who consumed protein according to the recommended daily intake (0.8g per kilogram of body weight) ate less food throughout the day. The research team analyzed that eating a small amount of protein at the first meal leads to seeking snacks to meet the body's required protein amount.

People tend to have a strong appetite for protein.

Eating a high-protein breakfast in the morning helps reduce hunger, allowing you to decrease your total intake of snacks and other foods throughout the day.
