I'm worried because my teeth are spaced apart.

There is a gap between the lower front teeth and the adjacent teeth.

Overall, my teeth are spaced apart, but it's not very noticeable when I smile or talk. So I wasn't really concerned about it, but recently I went for a scaling and the dentist asked if I had considered orthodontics. I wasn't really thinking about it before, but now I'm wondering if it shows a lot because of what the dentist said. Do I need braces? Should I get orthodontics even for a slight gap?
