Can you not do a teeth whitening procedure if you have veneers?

I had a laminate on my upper front teeth when I was young.

Lately, I've become interested in teeth whitening.

Is it difficult to get teeth whitening treatment if I have a laminated tooth? I'm a bit hesitant to go to the dentist for a consultation about this, so if anyone knows, please reply~~
