Baby's belly is red and irritated 😣 (Review of diaper rash treatment)

 

A few days ago, I was changing the baby's diaper.

I was able to notice that the groin area had become red.

 

So, I think it's diaper rash.

I applied the Bepanten I have at home.

 

But... even after a few days have passed

The redness in the groin is not improving 😭

And because it itches, I keep scratching my stomach even at night...

 

I registered at the pediatrics department as soon as the hospital opened in the morning.

I was able to see the doctor after waiting about 40 minutes.

 

The doctor looked at my belly and groin.

They said it's diaper rash 😢

They said it was something like a fungal vaginitis that women are prone to, so it must have been itchy 😢😢

Usually, it appears as redness or small red spots like scabs on the skin, which can cause damage, and infants often experience stinging or itching sensations on their skin.

If mold develops on the area with diaper rash, the symptoms will become more severe.

The skin in the diaper rash area may become dry, and scales or fungi may develop.

Diaper rash caused by mold rarely occurs on the buttocks and mainly develops in the groin, genitals, and abdominal area.

As a result, the baby may experience itching, stinging, pain, or discomfort in the area with diaper rash.

 

 

I wondered how itchy it must have been.. I couldn't even speakㅠ

I change the diaper frequently, but cleaning the stool is difficult.

I wonder if it's because I was born prematurely. 😣

They prescribed oral medication and topical ointment.

The ointment should be applied twice a day for 4-5 days.

They told me to keep taking the medication until the rash goes away.

I received the prescription in the morning, and when I washed him/her in the evening, I saw that.

Still, the slight redness has subsided.

I thought that just applying Bepanthen would cure diaper rash... but that's not really the case.ㅠㅠ

I need to take good care of it.
