평소먹는 양보다 조금 적게... 그리고 천천히 식사하는 습관을 가져야 겠네요
A study found that eating less can help extend lifespan. But how much less should you eat?
◇News→Longevity, thanks to lithocholic acid
There's a saying that "small news" is the secret to longevity. Until now, this was merely anecdotal. The Pacific Health Research Institute in the United States analyzed the diets of people in the Okinawa Blue Zone, a region renowned for its longevity, and found that calorie restriction contributed to their longevity. However, there was no evidence that small news leads to longevity. Recently, this mechanism has been confirmed.
A joint research team from Fujian Xiamen University and Peking University in China recently discovered through animal studies that compounds produced during calorie restriction extend lifespan. The findings were published in the scientific journal Nature. When calorie restriction was applied to various animals, including nematodes, flies, and mice, activation of a protein called AMPK led to extended lifespan.
The research team analyzed over 200 compounds whose levels increased when mice were subjected to calorie restriction, and identified one that activated AMPK. They found that a substance found in bile called lithocholic acid aided in fat digestion and calorie restriction. The team then fed lithocholic acid to nematodes, fruit flies, and mice.
As a result, the group that consumed it lived significantly longer than the group that did not. The research team stated, "Mice that did not consume lithocholic acid showed accelerated aging in various factors, including grip strength and muscle composition," and "High concentrations of lithocholic acid were also found in the blood of centenarians living in a Japanese longevity village."
◇Reduce your usual intake by 20-30%
However, it is forbidden to eat less just because the news is good.
Rather, if our bodies fail to replenish the energy they need, muscle and organ tissues can break down, leading to serious health problems, such as osteoporosis and malnutrition.
You only need to reduce your usual calorie intake by 20-30%. If calculating calories is difficult, you can divide the food for two meals you usually eat into three meals. Assuming that a man in his 40s divides the recommended daily calorie intake (2300-2500kcal) into three meals a day, the calorie intake for two meals is approximately 1600kcal. Adding a small snack to this, the calorie intake is 1610-1750kcal, which is equivalent to the calorie intake of a light diet. Even if you eat less than usual, you must consume enough calories and nutrients that your body needs. You can calculate your required intake by calculating your basal metabolic rate. The simplest way to estimate this is to calculate ▲For men, weight (kg) X 1.0 X 24 ▲For women, weight X 0.9 X 24. It is recommended to consume this amount of calories.
Meanwhile, chewing your food thoroughly during meals can naturally help you feel fuller. The feeling of fullness after eating is due to stimulation of the brain's satiety center, which only begins to kick in about 20 minutes after eating. Eating with chopsticks instead of a spoon can also help you eat more slowly.
=============
I think that's right
It's true that if you eat slowly, you eat less, right?
In the past, even if the amount of food was similar,
I think I ate more slowly
It's a bit difficult to work~
Rather than eating too much and being lazy,
It would be better to eat slowly
