There are more side effects from LASIK surgery I had in my 20s than I thought.

I wore glasses since I was young, and I had LASIK surgery in my 20s.

At the time, I was so happy that I didn't have to wear glasses that I didn't think about it carefully.

I have no regrets about LASIK surgery because it has many advantages, but the side effects of LASIK surgery are more varied than I thought, so I am experiencing inconveniences in my daily life.

Before I tell you about the side effects of LASIK surgery that I experienced, let me explain why I got LASIK surgery.

When I was young, glasses were a part of me.

I remember wearing it since elementary school, but I heard that poor eyesight is also hereditary.

My family wasn't that bad, but we all wore glasses, so even though we didn't have smartphones back then, I think my eyesight got worse quickly.

Rather than just thinking of it as an inconvenience, I lived thinking of it as a necessity, like my body.

As I went through puberty, I started to think that glasses ruined my appearance and were uncomfortable.

So, I thought that when I became an adult, I would definitely get LASIK surgery, no matter what.

Eventually, I had LASIK surgery at Suwon Nammun in my mid-20s.

Originally, I wanted to get LASIK with laser correction, but since it was a hospital that ran like a factory, the director kept recommending LASIK, so I ended up getting LASIK against my wishes.
At the time, I thought I would do it because it was a good idea and more recommendable, but now I regret not pursuing it after learning more about it myself.
If you are having eye surgery, I do not recommend a factory-style hospital.
I heard a rumor that you can do business there, but it's not exact.
So, whenever side effects from LASIK surgery occur, I can't help but think, "If only I had been a little more careful."

There are many side effects of LASIK surgery, but today I will tell you about the ones I experienced!

First-time LASIK surgery side effects: uneven eyesight, delayed vision recovery

There are more side effects from LASIK surgery I had in my 20s than I thought.

I didn't recover my vision right away in the early stages due to side effects from LASIK surgery.

Even my eyes were different, so there was a 0.6 difference between the two ^^..

Originally, I was going to come back little by little, but I was worried because I couldn't come back for 2-3 years.

Finally, practice wearing glasses and looking at distant objects, avoiding eye strain, etc.

I lived a careless life doing various things, and then one day, when I went for a health checkup, both of my scores suddenly came out as 1.0.

I had given up, but it suddenly came back, and it was amazing. I think practicing reading letters from a distance really helped.

Second LASIK side effect! Glare

I took some pictures with a similar feel, but can you feel the difference between the two pictures?

The right photo looks more blurred than the left photo! (Just look at the lighting!)

Sometimes at night, when you look at a streetlight and your eyes are blurry or filled with tears, the light appears to spread to both sides.

I've gotten used to it now, but in the beginning it was so bad that I would just walk around at night looking at the ground.

I felt so nauseous and dizzy that I probably would have given up driving if I were driving.

Now, when I'm not in good condition, I sometimes get glare as a side effect of LASIK surgery, but now I'm used to it and I walk around doing eye exercises. Haha..

Third LASIK surgery side effect: Difficulty seeing text or details.

This is a symptom that was there at first, but it is not there now.

I think it took about 3-4 months. I like reading books, so I couldn't read for a while.

Dense text makes the letters appear lumped together and not as clear as a photograph, which makes the speed feel unstable.

Fortunately, I practiced looking into the distance and doing eye exercises diligently, and now I don't have these symptoms.

There were many other issues, such as dry eye and tear flow, but I regret not being careful about getting LASIK surgery.

I don't regret having LASIK surgery itself. It has more advantages than disadvantages!
