This drug is used to relieve symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, nasal congestion, and tearing caused by colds, allergies, and vasomotor rhinitis.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults: 1 tablet per dose, taken three times a day after meals.

Child dose

Children (12 to 14 years): 1/2 tablet per dose, taken three times a day after meals.

Precautions

This medication contains pseudoephedrine, which may cause a rare but serious skin allergic reaction called acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis. If symptoms such as fever, red spots, or small pustules occur, discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor or pharmacist. This drug should not be taken by people with certain diseases or conditions. For example, those who are allergic to this medication, those with severe liver or kidney dysfunction, those with heart disease, those who have difficulty urinating, patients with hypertension, women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, infants under the age of 2, and people taking certain medications should not take this drug. Additionally, this drug contains lactose, so those with lactose intolerance or related genetic disorders should not take it. During treatment, do not take this medication with antihypertensives, alcohol, central nervous system depressants such as sleeping pills or tranquilizers, or certain antidepressants, particularly MAO inhibitors, which should be spaced at least 15 days apart. It is advisable to avoid activities that require concentration, such as driving or operating dangerous machinery, while taking this drug. Individuals with asthma, glaucoma, heart disease, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, prostatic hypertrophy, or children under 12 years of age should consult a healthcare professional before use. If symptoms do not improve within 7 days or if high fever develops, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional. If any central nervous system adverse effects such as sedation, drowsiness, anxiety, sweating, visual disturbances, hallucinations, muscle spasms, severe headache, vomiting, or loss of consciousness occur, discontinue use and seek advice immediately. In case of overdose, symptoms like hallucinations, seizures, nervousness, dizziness, and insomnia may occur, and gastric lavage or dialysis may be required. Keep this medication out of reach of children and store it in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, and in its original container. Transferring it to another container can reduce quality or lead to misuse, so it should be kept in its original container.

Acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis (AGEP), severe rash with high fever, blisters, skin peeling, pain in mucous membranes of mouth/eyes, symptoms of ischemic colitis (sudden abdominal pain, rectal bleeding), sudden and very severe headache, thunderclap headache, seizures, confusion, visual disturbances, paralysis

Sedation, drowsiness, central nervous system depression, central excitation, anxiety, sweating, mild hypotension, visual disturbances, mydriasis, confusion, hallucinations, agitation, muscle spasms, rigidity, athetosis, convulsions, high fever, respiratory paralysis, coma, circulatory collapse, skin reactions, temporary irritation pain, burning sensation, dry mouth, nausea, vomiting, urinary difficulty, hallucinations and convulsions in case of overdose, nervousness, dizziness, insomnia
