This medication is used to relieve symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, nasal congestion, and tearing due to colds, allergies, and vasomotor rhinitis. Patients will find it helpful for rapid and effective improvement of these symptoms.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults: 1 tablet per dose, 3 times a day after meals.

Child dose

Children (12-14 years): 1/2 tablet per dose, 3 times a day after meals.

Precautions

This medication contains the ingredient pseudoephedrine, which may cause severe skin reactions such as serious rash or pustules. If symptoms like fever, reddening of the skin, or multiple blisters occur, stop taking the medication immediately and consult a doctor or pharmacist. This medication should not be taken by individuals with certain health conditions. For example, those allergic to this medication, individuals with severe liver and kidney problems, patients with severe heart disease, those who cannot urinate properly, hypertension patients, pregnant or breastfeeding women, very young infants, and individuals taking certain medications should not take this medication. Additionally, those with lactose intolerance or certain genetic metabolic disorders should also refrain from taking this medicine. During treatment with this medication, it is important not to take it concurrently with various medications such as blood pressure medications, alcohol, sleeping pills, or antidepressants. In particular, medications known as MAO inhibitors should be spaced at least 15 days apart from this medication due to potential risks. Caution is required to avoid tasks needing concentration, such as driving or operating machinery, while taking this medication. Patients with asthma, glaucoma, heart issues, diabetes, thyroid problems, prostatic hypertrophy, or children under 12 years old must consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. If symptoms do not improve within 7 days of taking the medication, or if a high fever develops, discontinue use immediately and consult a specialist. Additionally, if symptoms of CNS abnormalities such as sedation, drowsiness, anxiety, sweating, vision problems, hallucinations, seizures, high fever, or respiratory distress occur, stop taking the medication immediately and consult medical personnel. If any adverse reactions such as skin rash or itching, dry mouth, nausea, or difficulty urinating occur, discontinue use and consult a professional. Caution is necessary for children, as excitement may manifest as a symptom. In case of overdose, symptoms such as hallucinations, seizures, nervous excitement, dizziness, or insomnia may occur, and immediate medical attention should be sought. This medication must be stored out of the reach of children, protected from direct sunlight, in a cool and dry place, with the lid securely closed. Transferring the medication to another container from its original packaging should be avoided as it could lead to quality degradation or misuse risks.

Serious side effects

Acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis (severe skin adverse reaction), fever with rash, multiple small pustules, ischemic colitis symptoms (sudden abdominal pain, rectal bleeding), sudden and very severe headache, thunderclap headache, nausea, vomiting, confusion, seizures, visual impairment (symptoms of reversible posterior leukoencephalopathy syndrome and cerebral vasoconstriction syndrome)

Mild side effects

Sedation, drowsiness, CNS depression, CNS excitation, anxiety, sweating, mild hypotension, visual disturbances, mydriasis, nonsensical speech, hallucinations, excitement, muscle spasms, rigidity, athetosis, clonic and tonic seizures, high fever, respiratory paralysis, coma, circulatory collapse, skin reactions, transient irritative pain, burning sensation, thirst, nausea, vomiting, difficulty urinating, excitement (may be particularly evident in children), acute poisoning symptoms (hallucinations and seizures), nervousness
