This medicine is used to relieve sneezing, runny nose, nasal congestion, and tearing caused by colds, allergies, and vasomotor rhinitis.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults should take 1 tablet three times a day after meals.

Child dose

For children (12 to 14 years old), take 1/2 tablet three times a day after meals.

Precautions

This medicine contains the ingredient pseudoephedrine, which may rarely cause serious skin reactions such as acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis. If symptoms like fever, rash, or small blisters appear, cease taking this medicine immediately and consult a doctor or pharmacist. This medicine is contraindicated for certain diseases or conditions. For example, individuals who have had allergic reactions to this drug, those with severe liver or kidney impairment, severe heart disease, difficulty urinating, hypertension or coronary artery disease, pregnant or possibly pregnant women, nursing women, infants under 2 years old, and those taking certain antidepressants or MAO inhibitors should not take this medicine. Moreover, since this drug contains lactose, it should not be taken by individuals with lactose intolerance or related genetic disorders. While taking this medicine, do not take it together with blood pressure medications, alcohol, sleeping pills, sedatives, MAO inhibitors, certain antidepressants, sympathomimetics, etc., and after stopping MAO inhibitors, at least 15 days should pass before starting this medication. During treatment with this medication, it is advisable to avoid activities requiring alertness, such as driving or operating hazardous machinery. Individuals with asthma, glaucoma, heart disease, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, benign prostatic hyperplasia, or children under 12 years should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. If symptoms do not improve within 7 days after taking the medication or if a high fever occurs, cease taking it immediately and consult a specialist. Additionally, if unusual symptoms such as sedation, drowsiness, anxiety, visual disturbances, hallucinations, muscle spasms, skin rash, digestive dysfunction, or urinary problems occur, stop taking the medicine immediately and consult medical personnel. In cases of overdose, symptoms like hallucinations, seizures, nervousness, dizziness, and insomnia may occur, which require emergency treatment. Keep this medicine out of the reach of children, store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, and keep it sealed. It should be kept in its original container, as transferring it to another container may reduce the quality of the medicine or increase the risk of misuse.

Severe skin reactions such as acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis (AGEP) (high fever, erythema, multiple small pustules), hypersensitivity reactions (urticaria, severe swelling), respiratory paralysis, seizures due to acute poisoning, coma, circulatory failure, symptoms of pseudoephedrine-related ischemic colitis (sudden abdominal pain, rectal bleeding)
