This medication is used to relieve sneezing, runny nose, and nasal congestion caused by colds, allergies, and vasomotor rhinitis. In particular, the tablet and syrup forms also improve tearing symptoms, while the capsule form helps reduce sneezing, runny nose, and nasal congestion symptoms. It effectively alleviates symptoms, reducing discomfort in daily life and aiding recovery to a more comfortable state.

How to take

Adult dose

(Tablets) 1 tablet per dose, take 3 times a day after meals. (Capsules) 1 capsule per dose, take 3 times a day after meals. (Syrup) 10 mL per dose, take 3 times a day after meals.

Child dose

Precautions

This medication contains pseudoephedrine, which can rarely cause severe skin reactions like acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis. If you experience symptoms such as fever, redness of the skin, and many blisters, stop taking the medication immediately and consult with a doctor or pharmacist. This medication is contraindicated for individuals with certain conditions. For example, people who are allergic to this medication, have severe liver or kidney dysfunction, serious heart disease, urinary retention disorders, or other specific conditions should not take this medication. Additionally, patients with hypertension or coronary artery disease, pregnant or breastfeeding women, infants under the age of 2, or those taking certain medications should not use this drug. This medication should also be avoided by individuals with lactose intolerance or specific genetic metabolic disorders. When taking this medication, avoid combining it with blood pressure medications, alcohol, central nervous system depressants such as sleeping pills or sedatives, certain antidepressants, sympathomimetics, etc. In particular, it should be taken at least 15 days apart from MAO inhibitors. While taking this medication, it is advisable to avoid activities that require concentration, such as driving or operating machinery. Individuals with asthma, glaucoma, heart disease, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, or prostatic hypertrophy, or children under 12 years old should consult with a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. If symptoms do not improve within 7 days of taking the medication or if high fever occurs, stop taking it immediately and consult with a healthcare professional. Additionally, if you experience drowsiness, anxiety, visual disturbances, hallucinations, seizures, skin rashes, vomiting, urinary difficulties, or any unusual symptoms, stop taking the medication at once and seek medical advice. In case of overdose, symptoms such as hallucinations, seizures, and insomnia may occur, and treatment such as gastric lavage or dialysis may be required. Keep this medication out of the reach of children, store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, and keep it tightly sealed in its original container. Transferring to another container may cause misuse or deterioration of quality.

Do not take this medication with MAO inhibitors, antihypertensives, central nervous system depressants (sleeping pills, sedatives, tranquilizers), sympathomimetics, tricyclic antidepressants, guanethidine, bretylium, beta-nide, debrisoquine, methyldopa, sympathomimetic drugs (decongestants, appetite suppressants, amphetamine-like stimulants), and adrenergic antagonists (inhibitors).

Food interactions

Do not take this medication with alcohol.
