Precautions

This medicine may burden the liver, so those who regularly consume more than three glasses of alcohol daily should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking it. It contains acetaminophen, which can occasionally cause severe skin reactions, so if a rash or allergic reaction occurs, discontinue use immediately. The maximum daily dosage of acetaminophen is 4,000 mg; taking this medication with other products containing acetaminophen may cause liver damage, so caution must be taken. Due to the presence of pseudoephedrine, if symptoms such as fever, rash, or small blisters occur, stop taking the medication and consult a doctor. People who have allergies to this medication or its ingredients, have experienced asthma, are infants under 3 months old, are taking certain antidepressants or psychiatric medications, or have severe hypertension or kidney disease should not take this medication. It is safe to avoid taking cough medicines, other cold medications, antipyretics, sedatives, or antihistamines while using this medication. Children suspected of having chickenpox or influenza, those with allergic tendencies or a history of hypersensitivity to medications, patients with liver, kidney, or heart diseases, and elderly individuals should consult a specialist before taking. If after taking the medication symptoms such as rash, itching, nausea, dizziness, trembling, difficulty breathing, high fever, or severe skin symptoms occur, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional. Children under 2 years old should generally avoid this medication unless in special circumstances and should seek a doctor’s approval if necessary. When taking the medication, adhere to the prescribed dosage and duration, avoid long-term use, and it is advisable to refrain from alcohol consumption during treatment. Drowsiness may occur, so avoid driving or operating machinery, and be cautious as the breakdown of acetaminophen may slow when taken with specific medications. Co-administration of this medication with specific antibiotics may rarely cause metabolic acidosis; thus, close observation is needed when taking those medications together. Store the medication in a sealed container away from children, away from direct sunlight, in a cool, dry place. Additionally, it is important not to transfer it to another container to maintain quality.
