This medication is used to relieve various symptoms associated with colds, such as runny nose, nasal congestion, sneezing, sore throat, chills, fever, headache, joint pain, and muscle pain.

How to take

Adult dose

Aged 15 years and older: 2 capsules three times a day, taken 30 minutes after meals

Precautions

This medication may burden the liver, so those who regularly consume more than three drinks a day should consult a doctor or pharmacist before use. If severe rash, blisters, or red spots appear on the skin while taking this medication, stop immediately and consult a doctor. This medication contains acetaminophen, so care should be taken not to exceed the maximum daily dose and it should not be taken with other products that contain acetaminophen. As it contains pseudoephedrine, if severe skin reactions such as fever or small blisters appear, discontinue use and consult a professional. There may be cases where this drug should not be taken, such as individuals with a history of allergies, those who have triggered asthma, infants under 3 months, those taking certain antidepressants, severe hypertension patients, or those with serious kidney diseases. During treatment, care should be taken not to use this drug in combination with cough medicine, other cold medications, antipyretic analgesics, sedatives, or antihistamines. Those with specific diseases or vulnerable groups such as children, pregnant or breastfeeding women, and elderly individuals should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking. If rash, itching, vomiting, dizziness, or breathing difficulties occur, discontinue use immediately and consult healthcare personnel. Children under 2 years should not take this medication unless deemed necessary by a doctor. Follow the prescribed dosage and do not use it for a prolonged period, and avoid alcohol during treatment. As drowsiness may occur, refrain from driving or operating machinery. Caution is required as serious metabolic acidosis may occur when using this medication with certain antibiotics.

  • Shortness of breath or respiratory difficulty with cough and fever → interstitial pneumonia
  • Yellowing of skin or eyes (jaundice), profound lethargy → liver issues

Interactions

Drug interactions

Do not take this medication with any oral medications containing cough suppressants, other cold remedies, antipyretic analgesics, sedatives, or antihistamines. Do not take it if you are on MAO inhibitors for depression, Parkinson's disease treatment, or within 2 weeks of discontinuing them. Consult with a doctor or pharmacist if used in conjunction with diabetes medication, gout medication, arthritis medication, anticoagulants, steroid medications, barbiturates, or tricyclic antidepressants.
