Vitamin D is particularly necessary during pregnancy, breastfeeding, growth phases, and old age, helping to improve bone and dental growth deficiencies and prevent rickets. It is also used to improve calcium deficiency and facilitate calcium supplementation to maintain bone health.

Dosage

For those aged 8 years and older and adults: Take 2 tablets once a day after meals.

Precautions

This medication should not be taken by patients with hypercalcemia or patients with sarcoidosis, a systemic inflammatory disease of unknown cause, as well as patients with kidney disease. Furthermore, those who have allergic reactions to this drug or its components, infants under 12 months, patients with kidney stones, and those with severe renal failure should avoid taking this medication. During the use of this medication, do not take concomitant medications such as phosphates, calcium salts, oral tetracycline antibiotics, and antacids. Women undergoing treatment or who are pregnant or may become pregnant, breastfeeding mothers, premature infants, and infants should consult a healthcare professional before taking this medication. Patients with heart or circulatory system issues, kidney disorders, hypoproteinemia, those on cardiac glycosides, and individuals with a history of kidney stones should also consult a professional before taking this medication. If symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, hypotension, facial flushing, arrhythmia, or skin rash occur during use, discontinue immediately and consult medical staff. In case of overdose, symptoms such as gastrointestinal disturbances, hypernatremia, congestive heart failure, and edema may occur, so caution is needed. Prolonged use may lead to hypercalcemia or stone disease, and there is a risk of hyperkalemia when used with certain diuretics, so caution is necessary. Moreover, adhere strictly to the prescribed dosage and administration, avoiding teas containing tannins such as green tea or black tea before and after use. This medication should be stored out of reach of children, protected from direct sunlight, and kept in a cool, dry place in a sealed container. To maintain quality, do not transfer to another container, and avoid misuse.

Interactions

Do not take with phosphates, calcium salts, oral tetracycline preparations, and antacids. Caution is advised when using with aldosterone antagonists or triamterene, as it may lead to hyperkalemia.
