Precautions

This medication can put strain on the liver, so individuals who regularly consume more than three alcoholic beverages a day should consult a doctor or pharmacist. Due to the presence of acetaminophen, overdose may lead to liver damage; therefore, care should be taken not to exceed the maximum daily dosage. Rarely, severe rash or blisters, as well as allergic reactions, may occur, so if such symptoms arise, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional. When taking this medication, do not use other cold medications, antipyretics, sedatives, or antihistamines that contain overlapping ingredients. Individuals with certain genetic issues such as lactase deficiency or galactose intolerance should not take this medication. Those currently taking or who have recently discontinued monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) should not use this medication. Children, especially infants under 3 months of age, should not take this medication, and children under 2 years of age should only do so after consulting a physician. Individuals who are allergic to or have hypersensitivity to Yellow No. 4 (Tartrazine) included in this medication should use it with caution. Those who have experienced allergic reactions to this medication or similar drugs in the past, have asthma, skin diseases, gastrointestinal disease, or liver, kidney, or heart conditions, and pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult a healthcare professional before taking this medication. If any unusual symptoms such as rash, itching, vomiting, dizziness, difficulty breathing, or jaundice occur during use, discontinue use immediately and consult medical personnel. If symptoms do not improve after taking the medication more than 5 or 6 times with no effect, consult a healthcare professional. Follow the prescribed dosage strictly, avoid prolonged use, and refrain from alcohol consumption during treatment. Combining this medication with certain drugs may increase the risk of side effects; therefore, be sure to inform your healthcare provider about any other medications being taken.
