Improvement in blood pressure control for essential hypertension and stage 2 hypertension
This medication is used for patients with essential hypertension whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with monotherapy of amlodipine or losartan. It is also effective in the initial treatment of stage 2 hypertension patients who require combination therapy to reach target blood pressure. Therefore, it helps improve blood pressure in hypertensive patients who have difficulty in blood pressure control.
The recommended dosage for adults is one tablet once a day, taken with water regardless of meals. It is recommended to take it at the same time every day (e.g., in the morning). Generally, 5/50 mg of this medication is administered once daily, and if blood pressure is not adequately controlled after two weeks of treatment, the dosage may be increased to 10/50 mg once daily.
The safety and efficacy of this medication have not been established in pediatric patients under 18 years of age, and therefore, its use is not recommended.
This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus if taken during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters, so it should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. The fetus may experience various problems such as hypotension, reduced kidney function, and skull formation abnormalities due to this medication. There may also be risks to the fetus in the early stages of pregnancy, so women of childbearing potential should consult their physician before use. Patients with low blood volume or those taking diuretics may experience hypotension upon initial administration, thus caution is required. Patients who are allergic to any ingredient in this medication, those with severe liver dysfunction, critical aortic stenosis, or are in a state of shock should not take this medication. Patients with low blood volume or those with strict salt restrictions, moderate or worse kidney function impairment, and hyperkalemia should use this medication with caution. Side effects such as dizziness, headache, drowsiness, swelling, indigestion, and orthostatic hypotension may occur, so caution is advised. If blood pressure becomes excessively low, immediate consultation with a physician is required, and treatment may be necessary in severe cases. This medication may have an enhanced effect when taken with other antihypertensive medications, so it should be taken according to medical personnel's instructions. It is advisable to avoid consuming grapefruit juice as it may excessively increase the effects of the medication. Pregnant or nursing women should not take this medication, and those planning a pregnancy should definitely consult healthcare providers. Its safety and efficacy have not been established for children and adolescents under 18 years old, and therefore, its use is not recommended. Elderly patients may require initial dosage adjustment, so it should be taken according to the physician's instructions. In case of overdose, blood pressure may drop suddenly, and immediate medical attention should be sought for appropriate treatment. This medication should be stored out of reach of children, and it is recommended not to transfer it to other containers.

This medication may be sensitive to air and moisture, so it must be stored in a tightly closed container. The storage temperature should maintain a room temperature between 1 and 30 degrees Celsius. This will help preserve the effectiveness and safety of the medication for a long time.
