Precautions

This medication should not be administered to certain patients. For example, patients with allergies or hypersensitivity to this drug or its components, those allergic to certain antibiotics, lactating women, and those with a history of heart disease should not take it. This medication may present multiple side effects. Common symptoms such as headaches, abdominal pain, diarrhea, and dizziness have been reported, as well as rare severe conditions including blood abnormalities, liver dysfunction, and serious skin reactions. Careful observation is necessary, especially if muscle pain or weakness is severe, as this may indicate a serious condition called rhabdomyolysis. Regular monitoring is required for long-term use, and any changes in symptoms during treatment should be consulted with a physician. This drug can interact with other medications, so if you are taking other drugs, you must inform your healthcare provider. Special caution is required when taken with antiviral agents, antibiotics, and anticoagulants. During pregnancy, no specific risks have been identified in animal studies, but it should be administered with caution in pregnant women, and it is advisable to avoid this medication while breastfeeding. As there is no specific antidote for overdose, appropriate treatment should be administered based on symptoms, and the medication should be kept out of reach of children. This drug may increase the risk of bacterial growth in the gastrointestinal tract by inhibiting gastric acid, so you should consult with your healthcare provider if gastrointestinal symptoms such as diarrhea persist. Additionally, long-term high-dose use may increase the risk of fractures, so patients with osteoporosis require regular monitoring. If any unusual symptoms such as skin rash, fever, or difficulty breathing occur during the use of this medication, immediate discontinuation and consultation with a healthcare provider are necessary.
