Precautions

This medication should not be used by individuals who are allergic to this drug or any of its components. Additionally, this medication contains lactose and should not be administered to patients with genetic issues such as galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption. Patients with liver disease or a history of liver disease should be cautious as using this medication may worsen liver conditions. If allergic symptoms such as rash, hives, swelling of the face or limbs, or itching occur while taking this medication, discontinue use immediately and inform a doctor. Symptoms such as drowsiness, headache, dizziness, insomnia, nightmares, numbness, and feeling dazed may occasionally occur; caution is advised if these symptoms appear. Gastrointestinal symptoms may include nausea, stomach discomfort, dry mouth, abdominal pain, decreased appetite, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, and stomatitis. Check liver function regularly through blood tests as liver function abnormalities may occur, and discontinue use if any abnormal symptoms are observed. Rarely, symptoms such as proteinuria, polyuria, and hematuria may occur, so consult a healthcare professional immediately if these symptoms arise. Symptoms such as palpitations, shortness of breath, and nasal congestion may also occur rarely, so caution is needed. Blood abnormalities such as thrombocytopenia or leukocytosis may occur, so regular monitoring is necessary. Symptoms such as gynecomastia, menstrual irregularities, chest pain, and taste changes have also been rarely reported, so report any unusual symptoms. This medication is not a rapid relief medication for asthma attacks, so asthma patients should understand this well before use. Patients on long-term steroid treatment should gradually reduce steroid dosages when taking this medication, avoiding sudden changes. Since this medication may cause drowsiness, caution is advised when driving or operating machinery. If there is no effect, do not use it for an extended period. For seasonal allergy patients, it is recommended to start taking it before symptoms begin and continue during the symptomatic period. The likelihood of enhanced sedative effects when combined with other sedatives, antihistamines, or alcohol is low, but caution is advised due to limited experience. This medication has little potential for interaction with other drugs metabolized in the liver, allowing relatively safe use while on other medications. Safety during pregnancy is not certain, so women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should use this medication cautiously after consulting a doctor. Women who are breastfeeding should avoid use if possible, or discontinue breastfeeding, as this medication may pass into breast milk. Safety for children, newborns, and underweight infants has not been adequately established, so caution is required. Elderly patients should be careful, as liver and kidney functions may decline; any unusual symptoms should be carefully monitored, and the dosage should be adjusted if necessary. In case of overdose, cardiac abnormalities such as arrhythmia may occur, so immediate medical attention should be sought if suspected. This medication should be stored out of reach of children, and transferring it to another container may affect its quality, so caution is needed.
